Except for his love affair with JJ Les is a good coach.

Yeah I agree. He represents our team very well, regardless of his loupy comments. The only time I ever see Les Miles yell at a player is when they really deserve it...and he never goes overboard. He's really good on the players esteem IMO.

I know some people would love a coach who yells at our players when they make mistakes, but I believe this team plays very hard the way they are being coached up right now.

this....bigtime. ya ever have the misfortune of working for a jerk who jumps your shite for a mistake? coaches who grab facemasks and rip kids apart are complete jerks....kelly at nd comes to mind.

geaux Les!

he seems to very confident in our ability to win games

LSU is 66-17 since 2005 and 15-2 since 2010.

What's not to be "confident" bout?

Miles could have left this team to go back to the school where he played, but he didn't.

JL could have left this team to go play at a lot of different schools, but he didn't.

All of us school be glad that our coach and starting QB has more backbone than some of us have demonstrated.imo

Not all. Part of tearing them down and building them back up the way you want them.

My take on Miles' discipline is mroe like "You are a man, not a boy anymore. I will treat you as such. When you screw up, you know it, and I know it. When we are alone as a team, either practice or film, I will make sure you know that you screwed up here but also that you know how to fix it. No need to belittle you in front of the world if I don't have to because I lose my concentration just as much as you may lose focus on the big picture."

In short, it's like your dad saying "I'm disappointed" as opposed to yelling his arse off.

I said at the beginning of the season, that you could hear it in his voice. Miles knows what a championship team looks like, and I think he know that this team is more then capable. He is pulling out all the stops to win. I also expect more gambling this year ala 2007

Miles never looks nervous and I believe his personality has been rubbing off on our players since Miles arrived on campus. Miles is always quick to compliment our opponents, but also finishes up saying we have a dam good team as well and expect victory. Personally, I love the way he handles this team and how these kids are playing their butts off. I also like how he smooth talks these refs and not yells at them like some coaches do. I spoke with a ref who called an LSU game a few years ago and he said Les Miles is one of his favorite coaches. He said Miles always is calm and conversing about what his team needs to do to aviod a penalty they may have just been flagged for. Keep up the good work Coach.
Miles looked awesome on the sidelines compared to Holgerson. I'd be embarrassed if I was a WV fan.

He knows everything that we don't. He had those plays that caught WV sleeping in his back pocket all week and his pockets are overflowing. He knows what we think we know, and more.

Make no mistake, this man is part genius and he is in no way foolish enough to allow himself this close to arrogance without having good reason.

We haven't seen what Les has up his sleeve yet. We saw a taste against WVU, the entree will be served on Oct 8th and dessert on Nov 5th.
