Well damn I guess its a good thing we did or they may have passed for over 600 yards on us. When Mo got man handled like a little bitch (and got flagged for retaliating) you could tell that wr had been intimidated.

Wow did you not see that play? Any other time - the receiver gets a Personal with 15 yards for hands to the face not ONCE but THRICE.

Only WRs who are intimidated by the play on the field of the corners try to go with personal fouls knowing that the risk is high for being flagged - because that is the only way they can get yards on the CB.

To supporters- So when AU danced on the eye, it was all good and just some swag, right?

Should have been off setting personal fouls. Still Mo got punked....probably b/c he was talking shite in warm ups.

i dont feel for it one way or the other. it's football and some players are wired up differently than others. we have a lot of young passionate talented guys on this team.

if you hate it go and make up some clever nicknames for the players.

But a lot of the trash talking is a reaction to the trash talking of opponents. I doubt we were trashing Northwestern State.

Posted this on one of the other 9000 threads on this topic.

Not to hijack this, but when did bullying become a crime anyway. Has this country become this soft???? I watched a documentary about this about kids who had been bullied at school and what a big "epidemic" it is in the United States. Each one of them had one complaint: "that kid called me names". So what! Settle it on the playground. You say somebody called you names? Punch 'em in the lip or learn to deal with adversity. These football players are world class athletes. They are elite physically but must also be elite psychologically. They must believe that they are the best at what they do. If that lends them to some trash talking so be it.

This is a competative sport. We keep score and we play to win. Patton said it best: Americans love a fight. We revere the big league baseball players, the all star quarterbacks, the championship boxers, etc. Americans love a winner and will not tolerate a loser. If you call that bullying, then I suggest you take up watching synchronized swimming with some other ladies in your community and leave this sport to people that truly appreciate it.

I'm here to condense the nonsense.

I'm not crazy about. I know its a different world, but some of it can be toned down without losing any aggressiveness once the play starts.

Had a friend that made it out to the west Virginia game. Afterwards she said that some fans wearing some extremely vulgar wvu shirts came to the car where some lsu fans were piling in. They proceeded to throw rocks, then after busting the front windshield drug out one couple and proceeded to beat the shite out of both. The woman was pregnant.

As far as I'm concerned, let the players talk trash and back it up. A lot of the legacy of a program has to do with its fans as well. Wvu can rot in hell.

Not sure if Reggie Miller and Spike Lee will help you with your point.

There will always be a wide variety of opinions on this matter. I don't mind some trash talk but it's over the top right now. I also don't want to be compared to "thug U" either. If you trash talk, you don't let a team pass for 400 plus yards either. Some posts said that we backed it up but WVU passed all over that field.

I agree 100% but obviously there are a few here who either don't remember or don't care. Too bad for LSU and them, I'd say.

They are getting inside the receiver's heads. I don't expect it as much against a team like Bama that largely runs the ball.

I keep seeing people mixing two topics IMO.

Trash Talk and Taunting.
They are different.

Trash Talk (although I do not like it) IS an accepted part of the game today and will continue thru the NFL.

Taunting, is another thing altogether and not only can a player be penalized with a series of domino-like consequences, (could cause the loss of a game)...maybe even a major game, but it shows a lack of character and humility...poor sportsmanship.
