re: Sorry. NOT sorry

True. We have some miserable bastards here masquerading as "LSU fans" who are livid right now that LSU won't go 0-18 in league play.
you're talking about people who insist men can get pregnant. Frustrating, but these people are crazy.

Oh,by the way, this "judge's" office phone number is (702) 671-4350. I asked the lady who answered the phone that surely I misread and article about her boss. "Does Judge Bluth support baby killers?"

702-671-4350.

I didn’t realize that all 3 of those LSU championships (and 2011 but I don’t like to think about that one) were at the sugar bowl. That’s neat

It is,but it could be said all 4. Even though LSU won the 1958 title before the bowls, LSU did win the Sugar Bowl over Clemson, 7-0 in the 1959 Sugar.

What is really odd is heading into the 2019 playoffs to be played in New Orleans, the three other teams Ohio State,Oklahoma, and Clemson had already lost to LSU in a bowl--Sugar,or BCS in New Orleans.
Sophomore year homecoming. Absolute beat down. This was in the era where Florida State was putting its program back together after hitting rock bottom in 1973 and 1974. Florida State agreed to many road games with no return several years in advance. This LSU game was the fifth game in a row that the Seminoles played a game on the road. At Nebraska, at Ohio State, at Notre Dame at PItt and then at LSU. They went 3-2 in those game but it really took a toll on them. Later in the year Southern Miss beat them at home, 58-14.

USC wasn't playing for the national championship that year. UCLA won the National Championship (Coaches Poll) and their conference.

UCLA couldn't go to the Rose Bowl since they had been their the previous year. USC was a replacement since they were local

Several things wrong with this. UCLA won the national title in 1954 but couldn't go to the Rose Bowl and Ohio State did beat Southern Cal. Too bad as even though the polls were awarded prior to bowls, UCLA was #1 in the UPI poll and Ohio State was #1 in AP.

The Jan 1, 1969 Rose featured #1 Ohio State vs #2 Southern Cal. Southern Cal would have been awarded the AP poll had they won that day.

I'm guessing the OP meant to infer either the BCS or playoffs. Still Texas won a few Cotton Bowls in years they were AP champ or UPI.. Southern Cal won several titles when they won the Rose Bowl.
I was attending the 2004 Sugar Bowl, designated that year as the 2003 BCS Championship game. Host city didn't have its normal bowl and title for a few more years.

LSU 21 Oklahoma 14. Nobody was spoiled then! It was euphoria!

Are you familiar with the Massey Road project? The pedestrain bridge is silly but doesn't affect anyone, yet tend to reinforce the VH admins apathy. The Massy Road project is a disaster plain and simple.
I thought you were better than this. You're sounding like that retard REBEL AC.
Yea,I was pulling for Ole Miss last night. These guys are weird. Biggest win in their history but they can't stop obsessing about LSU. Knock yoursefl out.
I don't get it? EVERY LSU fan? Explain.

So no its not debatable.

It's debatable when you start counting "national titles" retroactively like Tennessee did in 2005 or so. No one doubts 1951 and 1998. But when you start counting 1967 and others LSU can add or count similar titles from similar associations.

City government grants, projects, etc

Suburb we live in outside of Birmingham is really nice. Good schools, clean, safe. But if anything involves a shovel on behalf of the city it becomes a disaster.

There are two projects going on right now that seemed like 3-4 month projects max but are now over a year. One involves a 'pedestrian bridge' over US 31 that would connect the park with the swimming pool and the library. The "bridge" was set back in July after eons of promises (honestly IMO its a waste of time) over the road one weekend. What was supposed to be left was steps built to the bridge from either side. Okay, regardless of how long the project and been on the books it has 5 months.

The other one is trying to 'straighten out' a 1/2 mile -- at best road. Now, it was cut between some hills and as a creek at the bottom of the other side of the road. Project itself is legit as it is a busy road to get to the middle school and is a tad spooky at night. That one has been in work well over one year with no end in sight.

Kinda felt like I needed a little background before my question. The city of Vestavia Hills tries to absolve itself of any responsibility for the completion and ridiculous delays of the projects. They maintain these were grants from the state of Alabama and they have no say so in the matter.

I just find it hard to believe that if a city accepts grant money they have no say so in the construction and completion of a project. I would have thought they would have something to do with the contractors and getting the jobs done in a reasonable time. But,no, "there is nothing we can do. Our hands are tied."

That just sounds lame and that they do have some culpability. Are they correct?
