Art Briles - Arguable, but no. Too much baggage.
Lane Kiffin - No...for a variety of reasons (least of which is he is not as good an offensive coordinator)
Lincoln Riley - Doubtful, but arguable
Jonathan Smith - Nope...Giving him credit for Washington offense is like giving Jeremy Pruitt credit for Alabama's defense
Tim Beck - His credentials are not as solid as Canada
Steve Sarkasian - Not an offensive coordinator, but sure, put him on this list. However, just like Kiffin, the answer is No....for a variety of reasons
So, even using your list, weak as it is, Canada is still top 3.

Right. The true "negatiger" is actually a real type. It's the group that bitched about Saban during his whole tenure, Miles in the early years, and laughed at the idea of winning a national championship ever. This type of LSU fan really does exist.
However, some people overused the term to extend to any LSU fan not happy the last 5-7 years.
The true negatiger is the fan you are describing. Change has been made, let's see how it works out. So all the details weren't the way they wanted it. So what. Get over yourself. It doesn't always work out exactly the way you want it to. But let's at least see what happens before we're ready to run the guy out of town.
What made us miserable the last 4 or so years was that very little was done to change anything. The fact that a whole lot of change was made is refreshing almost of itself.

Hey let's just throw out names for guys who aren't OCs, aren't coaches, and who have limited bodies of work.

Da Coach O.
National Signing Day is where the rubber meets the road for Coach O.
3 main reasons for his hire: (excluding binder)
1. Recruiting. (?)
2. Hiring top Coordinators. (Checked)
3. Getting his players pumped. (Checked)

I love the hire. I was not personally high on Kiffin although you can not argue with what he has done at Bama.
The only downside to our current coaching situation is I think there is a good chance in 3 years we either have to promote 1 or lose both coordinators to HC gigs elsewhere.
Aranda is a surefire stud still resume building and if Canada can have success here with our track record of offensive ineptitude the phone will start ringing for both of them. It feels nice to have 2 up and comers passing through the program again. Reminds me of when Jimbo and Pelini used to be on campus.

I am very happy, and ready to move forward.

I hate to hurt your feelings, but Briles, Sark, Riley and Kiffin were all above Canada on Os list. They were just eliminated one by one

I'm happy, but I don't believe Saban is too thrilled.

There are 17 programs with more wins since 2012 to now. I know you said 2012-2015, but this is close enough.
I would say that's stale. In your defense, there are only 2 programs in the SEC with more wins. So, there's that.

Exactly

We're not keeping them forever.
That is an inherent issue that is even worse now when your HC does not specialize on either side of the ball.
That is what makes Orgeron so much better at being a HC than he was at Ole Piss. He is a coach that will now have kick as Offensive and Defensive Coordinators and he isn't going to be screwing with them doing their job.
Just think how good a coach Les Miles COULD have been had he just both hired great assistants and ALSO let them do their job!

he's nowhere near as sexy of a hire as Aranda was.
So a coordinator is only good if he's "sexy". Thanks for setting us straight.

some people aren't going to blow their load over a guy who had one awesome season and a bunch of mediocre ones.
You mean like Herman had only one good season? And the entire rant is convinced we screwed up the "annointed one's" hire when Herman was never coming here? You mean like that?
You people are the definition of miserable. Sit in it.

how do you know this? Did O tell you or state it in a news conference or post somewhere I can find it?

O didn't tell me personally. But Kiffin and Sark were the names from the binder. Then Briles name was thrown out, but got no real traction. Helfrich called us, and was discussed. Riley was the first call after he pulled out from, and Kiffin was supposedly in talks with UH.

Not sure why you think your opinion, misinformed as it may be, would hurt my feelings. No harm done.

Like Cameron, he was fired in the last couple of years.

This was definitely one of the best hires that we realisticly could've made. Finally something positive..
