Some of these people need to be very careful what they say or post. There is a very thin line between expressing your freedom of speech and making terroristic threats. Some of them appear to be crossing the line.

That would be ok. Much like NFL preseason. It would be (in essence) a week Zero game so everybody could go into the season with real-world experience under their belt. How much starters played would be strictly up to the coach.

If you move the bowl game to the beginning of the following season with a new roster the win/loss could be huge.

Would the bowl game count towards your record? If so, that could present a problem. It is possible that the team that earned the bowl bid is not even close to the team that will play in the game.
ETA - perhaps the early season bowl games could be played as a “pre-season” game and not count towards your record.
