2004 with Saban
Final Record 9-3
Get blow out by UGA
Almost lost to Troy
Capital One Bowl

2009 with Miles
Current Record 9-3
Never blown out, but Ole Miss loss was just as embarressing
Almost lost to La Tech
Capital One Bowl

I'm not seeing a huge difference here, yet Saban is worshiped like a god and Miles is on the hot seat.

Ignore, I mean analyze, how you prefer. The problem with you idiots is that you want to argue the data, which only proves you are clueless. Here's expanding through DiNardo's full tenure for you to argue.

1995-1996: 10-5-1
1996-1997: 12-4
1997-1998: 8-8
1998-1999: 3-13
1999-2000: 6-10
2000-2001: 10-6
2001-2002: 11-5
2002-2003: 12-4
2003-2004: 13-3
2004-2005: 13-3
2005-2006: 13-3
2006-2007: 12-4
2007-2008: 9-7
2008-2009: 8-8

No, you're the idiot arguing data.

I provided data which isn't the argument.

The argument is the analysis of the data.

Which again shows why you fricking idiots are clueless. I really never bought into the idea that America was truly getting dumber until the last 10 years. The internet has given every moron a voice to spout his uneducated and unintelligent thoughts. I hold nothing against honest labor, but guys like you should just stick to picking up the trash.

so why is the analysis of a 2 year moving average over a 12 year period any more valid than a comparison of 09 vs 05, or the analysis of a comparison of 09 improvements over 08, or the analysis of a 3 year moving average after a coaching change over the last 4 changes, or the statistical insignificance of the 08 season???

All 3 losses we were in the game at the end.

Uh...no...Florida had us beat pretty early. They drove the field and sat on the ball, instead of scoring, with a 10 point lead.

That's cause there isn't a huge difference or hardly any difference at all.

Nick 5 yrs 28-12 in the SEC
Les 5 yrs 27-13
Nick 1 nat. title and Les 1 nat. title
Nick 2 west titles and Les 2 west titles
Nick 2 SEC titles and Les 1
Nick 5 yr win total 48 and Les 51
Nick 3-2 in bowls and Les 4-0
Nick two 10 win seasons and Les 3
Nick worst record 8-5 and Les worst record 8-5
Nick's 5th yr record 9-3 and Les' 5th yr 9-3

Nick's 5 yrs here were very good yrs and Les' 5 yrs here have been very good yrs as well.

Except, Saban took over a program that hadn't won at title in 50 years and was 3-8 the previous year being last place in the SEC West.

Miles came in coaching a team that was built for success, 2 years out from a National Title.

I take nothing away from Nick. He is a very fine coach, but LSU had talent when Nick got here or he would never have been able to win 18 games in his 1st 2 yrs here. DiNardo had his problems at LSU but recruiting wasn't one of them.

And yes, Les had talent here when he got here as well.

If we want to give an edge to Nick cause he started the roll, ok....but let not hold Nick up as God and Les as bum.
