Can you name any position group that’s in worse shape than last season? Kelly and staff have done the impossible. They built a roster, from less than 40 players.
It’s what Kelly does, everywhere he’s been.
Sometimes I wonder if folks even look at the roster.

could buy the argument that maybe we are over-valuing Lacy
There’s no doubting this - always felt like his snaps were wasted and could have been used to keep Bech.
Nabers and BTJ will be a great duo. If Hilton and Anderson can play up to their potential we’ll be fine. That’s not even considering the two big name freshmen.

They don't.
They look at recruiting rankings and preseason rankings.
So many people do zero research into how a football team is built and understanding depth, scheme, etc.

Agree!! Lots of talent but a ton of uncertainty

I mean, I get it from an experience standpoint but LSU is ridiculously deep here. Surely someone will step up to be the #2. And you're seriously fricking dumb if you think BTJ hasn't done anything. He has actually stepped up every time they asked him to and is my pick for #2. If someone pushes him out the way then that tells me they're even deeper than I thought.
2 freshman - we'll see what we have here but they should be big time at some point. maybe not this year but I would expect at least one to give contribution.
Lacy - I've never been high on him but reports are he has seen a big progression jump. If this is true it can only help the group
BTJ - has consistently made big plays when asked to. Looks like a legit potential #1 to me but will be #2.
Hilton - was good enough to see the field immediately his freshman year is just injury prone
Anderson - Bama saw him as a potential starter before he got hurt
We'll be okay.

My thoughts exactly on what happened with Boutte last year. Also think that was Daniels’ first option too much last year and he usually wasn’t open

Hard to argue that. They aren’t proven much at all.

Go look at any of the All World WRs we’ve had and look at the first year with their numbers
2nd year with same QB and offense, this year they’ll prove their worth- WR is not a issue so don’t make it one, Hilton, Lacy, and Thomas will all be better - with a good crop coming in Ibeita(really freshman) Sampson Brown Parker Anderson - Solid room and the TEs in 24 will be as strong of a group as we’ve ever had

We are loaded everywhere on offense. It only matters if the qb can put the biscuit in the basket.
