This is completely a sign of mental weakness. There’s 18-20 year olds who deal with a hell of a lot more than that. I shouldn’t even have to mention this is military age. Don’t sugar coat it to make yourself feel better.
These damn kids have all the technology available to them to communicate with each other and back home. Grow the frick up.
Jesus man take a break. You sound like a complete dick.
You honestly think kids in the military don’t get homesick? The only difference is they don’t have the option to get out. I guarantee you half those dudes would take a station close to home if they had the choice.

You are literally diagnosing an 18 yr old college kid with mental illness from behind a keyboard. It takes a truly moronic piece of shite do that.

Most of you guys bashing him probably still lives in mom’s outdoor kitchen, calling her phone to bring you grape soda and twizzlers from the pantry

Hopefully she can convince him to stay here and not transfer to an sec school

LOL.. the dude's not homesick. Same scenario as Marcel Brooks, they have to play certain cards to obtain immediate eligibility through a transfer waiver.
Not anymore.

Wasn’t directed at you, just happen to be the message I stopped reading on

Seems there’s a bunch of former LSU players who feel the same way about the situation. Suck it up for 24-36 months. You are a generational talent and pretty much guaranteed to be a multi millionaire. You will be able to take care of everyone in the family you really miss and are homesick for. Best things in life come to those who have patience and push through adversity.

Not for every kid, for some, their freshman year is like 13th grade. Its a year of adjustment. We had that with our son when he went off to college. By the time he was a sophomore, things were totally different. He had adjusted and all was well. Just because a kid is 6'5" and is 250 doesn't mean he's immune to the difficult emotions that can occur in your first year on college. Not to mention the expectations that some are placing on Arik. I hope he stays at LSU but mostly I hope he is ok and knows he will get thru this time.

I haven’t seen any players attack this kid the way you’re doing behind your keyboard.
And how many of those dudes picked LSU so that they could play close to home? Why is it a valid decision for them and not Gilbert?

Generally speaking, I agree. But CFB has become a business and when it comes to players at major programs, it’s basically a factory.
Given the fact that a kid can commit to a school and get processed after the fact because of numbers, I’m not going to get on my high horse over a kid who goes into the portal for a better situation. That commitment thing cuts both ways.

If that kid is actually homesick that’s kind of weak.
Just this one time, can we skip the part where the rant shits on an LSU player when there’s potential negative news. If he’s still trying to decide I’m sure the fan base ripping him on the TRant will help him want to stay.

freshman home sickness is thing for all generations remember the football team has been campus a long time.... and with nothing to do..other than football...and online classes? I understand it, but he shouldn't quit the team..
I wouldn’t say I was homesick, but I had a semester where things didn’t go well and I got in a funk and considered transferring for a change of scenery. I didn’t quit anything and walk out, but I got applications and made some calls. I’m very happy now that I didn’t go that route and stuck it out. Hopefully Gilbert will, as well.

Bro former players are tearing into him on social media. That's way worse than what the rant can do
