To be fair. TS does look like a dump in certain spots from the outside. But the Campus and the atmosphere around it make it one of the GREATEST ways to spend a Saturday in the fall
Curious...Where?
LSU just spent, I think $240,000, changing out the windows on the outside of the North end zone. They also replaced the chain-link fence with a wrought iron "look" of fencing around the North end zone concourse in the upper section.
I heard there are plans to do the same around the top wall of the north end zone for next year, this would match the fencing around the field which was updated.
I would agree that our jumbo screen is WEAK...Went to Mississippi State this year and their screen was quite impressive.
Would also agree with a point already made on the rant...A functioning play clock for the entirety of the game lends to the image of "quality" facilities.

Arkansas should re-secede to the big 12. Gundy and Petrino can have a douche-off for the title every year. They don't play big boy football. Say what you want about the Grinders, they play harder than the baby back bitches out of Ar-Kansas.

Arkansas has the Waltons money from walmart also... I think Bud Walton arena was totally donated by the family..I guess walmart owns the university

I agree with the poster who said UA fans seem to think this a big rivalry. To LSU fans it's just another game, just another fan base. To them, it's THE rivalry. It's kinda funny, actually, because it's so lame. Their flaming doesn't even get anyone very excited.

Yes it is.

Do you have to even ask??? Of course they're being little bitches. Our facilities are some of the top in the country. We don't recruit well by osmosis.

Tiger Stadium is pretty shitty when it comes to cleanliness, aesthetics, and amenities.
But it enjoys what is far and away the best atmosphere of any stadium in CFB.
We really need to pour some money into renovations -- not just expansion, but upgrades for nearly everything.
As far as our campus goes, it beats the shite out of anything UA can offer. They probably walked around CEBA and thought they had seen campus; that whole side sucks, they need to check out the quad and then get back to me.
Yeah this.

You can have your "facilities"...
Ole Miss can keep thinking, "they won the party"...
Bama can keep crying about they were the better
team...
etc. etc. etc.
I'll take our 12-0, thank you very much!

i like that fact that TS is not nice....its a place where teams go to die for the amusement of the purple and gold faithful.
its a dirty butcher shop where bones, blood, and cartilage of opposing teams (and fan bases) are ground up and fed to coach moffit and mike the tiger on Sundys....to hell with being nice.

Man of your word I see.
You run your mouth about the class of LSU fans swear up and down that you will never come here again yet 24 hours later break your own word?
How "classy" is that?

Tiger Stadium: I like its dark, musty, old feel. The concrete, the old windows/broken windows on the east and west sides under the upper decks, the asbestos. It is Death Valley. It reflects the type of football team opponents face when they step on the field.
They are not messing with the south endzone scoreboard because they might be adding suites there.
The only facilities that really need to be completely redone: PMAC, tennis facility, natatorium, indoor track. LSU has outstanding football, baseball, softball and soccer.

We play LSU in Little Rock for a reason"
because no one, not even UA students, wants to be in fayetteville during the holidays

While I found the screens in Dallas to be impressive, they were equally distracting. I do think Tiger stadium is extremely dated, but a gigantic screen is the least of my concerns.

I have attended games at BDS twice, BHG, and Neyland... I assume that those stadiums are what you are calling top tier. Every one of those are good, impressive structures, but they are all add ons... TS is a true stadium, a coliseum.
I don't care if parts of the guts of TS are rough looking, or we don't have plastic chairback seats for every fan. TS is a collossal marvel. The kind of place football should be played.

Posted by Message razback Arkansas Fans Complaining I can't defend War Memorial. I hate the fact that ARK has to play games there. But the Fayetteville facilities are some of the best in America. I've seen LSU's facilities and Arkansas'. Arkansas' dwarfs LSU's. You may have won Saturday, but we're talking about facilities. You have a lot of work to do to catch up with Arkansas and some of the other upper tier programs in the SEC.
And yet with all those facilities you can't recruit worth a shite
and LSU always out recruits you. So I guess we don't have any catching up to do and Arkansas must suck that bad if you
have those amazing facilities and can't recruit for shite. You
Arkansas fans are so jealous of LSU it's hilarious you have all
that wal-Mart money and you can't get good players to go up
to Fayetteville no matter how many football palaces you build.
And another thing is you obviously havnt seen our football operations building which is on par with any of the top schools in the nation. Oh we also have actual trophies in our trophy case.

They're talking about shitty facilities here? Really? Their campus is a shithole compared to LSU. And this coming from somebody who has seen at least half the SEC campuses before.
If they're talking about some things in the stadium that are bad...sure. They have some things that are getting renovated. But War Memorial is probably the worst stadium in the SEC...
If LSU had shitty facilities, it wouldn't be a recruiting factor. LSU uses it to their advantage. Like the Cox center, our indoors facility and training facilities are all top tier.

It is hard to say that LSU doesn't have a beautiful campus.
Personally, I don't want LSU to look like Texas A&M or Arkansas. I love our architecture and our history. TS is a beautiful old stadium.
