That's what I say if I represented coaches.

Pretty sure this is objectively false. Tennessee fired Pruitt for cause, Pruitt sued Tennessee and the NCAA, and he did not prevail

Pruitt sued the NCAA, not the University of Tennessee.

He was also fired for cause after an internal investigation found he was responsible for illegal payments to players that resulted in NCAA probation for Tennessee and a lengthy show cause for Pruitt. Totally different situation.

No I just don’t accept anything as true simply because it’s written in a complaint and every lawyer who files or defends lawsuits knows this.

What a dumb take. Remind me never to hire a lawyer who is afraid to take a case because other lawyers couldn't win theirs.

Nobody knows for sure if LSU has cause under the contract until discovery has taken place. Now that he was dumb enough to sue and open the door, let's subpoena BK's cell phone records. I'd like to know how many times he was at the Four Seasons when he should have been doing his job.

So, fire him for cause and tade discovery to see if there is any factual basis for the claim? Yeah, that sounds like a wise, good faith litigation position...

LSU knew there was a basis to fire him for cause. They did not do it arbitrarily. Now that Kelly was dumb enough to sue, LSU will get its hands on records via subpoena to prove its point. That is how litigation works.

Don't get me wrong, this will probably be settled out of court, but I think Kelly made a tactical error by suing so soon.
