Ford F150 or GMC Sierra 1500?

Posted by RanchoLaPuerto on 4/18/26 at 12:46 pm
Light use. Just hauling bikes and ice chests and household stuff. Some 4wd.

Any opinions appreciated.

ETA: Seems like this is a good time to buy a truck if you want one.

That’s not a valid question. Depends on what topic you’re talking about. Both are great men doing great things. Both are also human and have made mistakes and will continue to.

Non-answer, but I commend the thoughtful response. Really.

How HIgh Does Oil Open?

Markets open in about two hours.
$1.27 at Walmart.

Where the hell are you shopping?
There are some pretty great rentals near me Uptown. They are in the box. If she is working Mardi Gras, she will need to accommodate.

For God’s sake don’t let her buy anything in the quarter.
Why do people insist on fricking with simple things that are already good?

Salt and crab boil is all you need!

It’s like putting A1 on Kobe beef.

Great choice. Easy walk to Magazine with terrific restaurants. Very safe with most areas employing private security patrols. Walk to Tips if you like music. Terrific oyster bar at Superior. Great new bar called Soon Enough that is perfect for her age/demographic.

Real estate prices are a little high for NOLA, but they will seem light if she’s coming from New York.

Does she have any Tulane connections? A number of northeastern greenies have second homes in that area, and they have a pretty vibrant social scene.

Honest opinion. Are we better off or worse off after military action?

All Israel has to do is place its own mines in those waters, and suddenly Iran's oil and toll income goes down to zero. I fully expect them to do it at some point, probably using foreign made mines that allow them to deny having done it themselves.

Oil prices back up . . . .
California is importing huge amounts of gasoline from overseas.

It is losing refineries. There is almost pipeline capacity in. And you can’t ship direct from the Gulf Coast because of the Jones Act.

Would you like to view my collection of truck nuts to apply to said 250 class, sir?

All stocked up.
Seems like high gasoline cost would drive down the price. Looking at the 250 class.

Good time?
I was born on a Sunday. By Thursday I had me a job.

I plan to work as long as I can. I’ll shift to something more beneficial, and I am very aware that I need to get out of the way so younger folks can work. So I’ll take a job nobody wants.

That's exactly what I thought.

Also, it is showing a capacity of 168,000 BOPD. That would be an increase of less than 1% of all US refining capacity.

Apparently John Calce is heading up the "America First" group that is leading it.
