i thought it was loud....at times, like 3rd and long, but it has NOTHING on tiger stadium. tiger stadium doesnt need the scoreboard to tell you to get loud. they also booed their team with 5 mins left in the game and they were down 6, i mean come on. pom poms are gay as hell, dudes should not be waving pom poms. i didnt many super hot chicks, definetly see more at lsu. i also thought they were really quiet, even before the game. aubbies were walking down woodfield ave where we were tailgating along with a slew of lsu fans and they were getting tiger baited and didnt even say anything in return....lame.

Thank you for your compliments and I am glad you enjoyed your visit.

In the "Fine Looking Ladies" department....trust me...LSU represented their selves very very well...

They also appeared to have just as many rvs as we do at home games,

I've never really walked through LSU's RV lots, but the big lot on Donahue was a complete clusterfrick. They had RVs and cars just jammed in any open space that they had available with a dirt trail in between.

First off lets define what is a RV. What I saw was about 3 FEMA trailer type "RV" (needs to be pulled by a truck) run by exterior generators for every one traditional RV(which contains its own engine and generator). I was getting flash backs to the week after Gustav in my subdivision with all the generator noise.

Also Auburn needs to buy a few lawnmowers and cut some grass (by the Tiger One) RV lots and learn how to do math. Apparently in Auburn the number 10 follows the number 8 because for the life of me I could not find Gate 9.

Finally memo to Auburn try bar codeing your tickets and installing a damn escalator in your stadium.

Auburn = shite Hole

Don't even get me started on the fans.

7-Oct-06, Swamp was way loud. Couldn't hear myself think. Same will happen 11-Oct-08.

You didn't enjoy the 15 minute walk down the ramps after the game?

I refuse to give props to any stadium that relies on canned music to get the crowd involved. The music wasn't even good to begin with. Why do they even have a band if they are going to use piped in music? I will say this, unlike other trips there, I had no problems with their fans. Just the corndog comments over and over. However, no other nastiness.

i just watched on tv and the stadium sounded pretty loud. however, i could always hear our band over their students. this may be due to mic placement, but it was awesome nonetheless.

i love when we send our full band on the road games. their band must be pretty pathetic.

No, just a little more refined than the average poster on this site.
Amy, no offense but if you come on this board looking for 'refinement', you've come to the wrong place.

This board is full of college geeks, internet tough guys, hypermasculine guys with hard-ons for anything with tits, and internet bravado.

It's like going to a frat house and being forced to listen to the banter after a keg was polished off in 5 minutes.

I have been to games at every SEC school except South Carolina. Also been to Ohio State, Notre Dame, Texas and at least 12-13 NFL home games. This was my second trip to Auburn. The last time was not very bad except for all the Josh Howard interceptions in the 4th Quarter.
The win this time made it much more enjoyable.

Before the game we met a group of Auburn tailgaters who invited us to join them. They expressed concern about everyone in LA, MS and Tx with the hurricames. Before we left, one of the guys who is an attorney gave me his business card and his home phone and invited us to come join him if we ever have to evacuate.

During the game we sat in the upper deck in the middle of Auburn Alumni.Greatest bunch of people you would want to meet.

After the game at least ten different people congradulated us on the win and told us to have a safe trip home.

Only complaints-
1) sound sistem, overriding the bands when they are playing.
2) the cluster of a traffic jam after the game.

Still the best experience I have ever had.

+1

What kind of tradition is hearing "Crazy Train" a bazillion times and "Welcome to the Jungle"? There is no fan-interaction with their band or student section. And what's with the damn pom-poms in the state of Alabama? They love them in Tuscaloosa as well.

Auburn tailgates very well. It was the closest thing I have seen to LSU numbers wise.
you must not have been to an ole miss game. after going to oxford in '05 and '07 i learned that those people show up big time for lsu. it's a massive scene and i saw nothing at auburn to make me think they could hold their own with ole miss when the rebs get serious about a game. it is THE thing to do in oxford. forget about the game.

as far as tailgating, their campus seemed pretty calm...a lot of people out there but not much music or alcohol, more family atmosphere

we tailgated in the amphitheater area and that seemed much more like LSU on gameday with beer pong and people were getting pretty rowdy.

a couple of their fraternity tailgates had live bands and open bars so that was pretty cool but nothing like Baton Rouge.

and piped in music at jordan-hare = LAME
