I honestly think we just win out and be happy with a BCS game after this season looked early on. Point is, successful season now!

Rose Bowl = cool.

Only reason it wouldnt, the voters will manipulate it to see that it would not happen, like OSU-Michigan after the 2006 season, when they ended their epic game in Columbus, the country was pretty much certain (save SEC country) that OSU and Michigan were the best two teams. However, the voters purposely moved Florida ahead so Mich didnt have another shot at OSU and the rest was history. The nation will scream LSU had their chance.

True, and it turned out to be an epic beat down. LSU lost by 7 points on the road. I think it's very possible if Auburn and LSU win out; along with an Oregon loss.

if arkansas can enter our final game with a number 10 or better bcs ranking, it's a possibility with an oregon loss.

If Oregon goes down against Oregon State we would have a great advantage. Besides the ESPN Gameday bunch, most voters respect the grind of the big conferences versus the Non AQ conferences. We could definitely get in to the NCG. I think we need AU to keep winning and we need to take care of business. No way all the voters want a Boise or TCU versus LSU and AU rematch. Remember the AP does not count in the BCS. All the talking heads can do is talk.

Arky is still going to be major hurdle

indeed, gonna have to earn that 11-1 record on the playing field.

Ark mashed South Carolina pretty good yesterday. USCe seemed to give up, and the analyst excused it saying they were saving it for the Florida game, since they can still win the SEC east with a win over Florida.

the nation saw LSU shite the bed against a Tennessee team that should have been destroyed. That is going to haunt LSU.

Didn't haunt Bama last year fwiw.

I am one of the biggest positigers out there. I love CLM, and always have. I love LSU. I want to see LSU go as far as possible, every year.

However...

A team that does not play for their conference title should not play in the title game, especially to an opponent they already lost to.

No, you do not HAVE to win the conference title to win, but you SHOULD. The SEC East is down this year, but the West is just awful (in that really good way) this year. It sucks for us, but I wouldn't have us play in any other conference.

I thought Richt was a bitch in 07 for his whining in the media, and I would never want LSU to whine our way in.

Now, if AU loses to UGA and Bama, I'd take it! Unlikely, but this has been a wild, weird year in college football.

With our close calls and ugly wins, I'd certainly be happy with a Sugar Bowl...this year. Next year, we are coming for ya.

Oregon, TCU, Nebraska, and probably Boise would all have to lose. Even then 1-loss Oregon could make things interesting
Based on computer projections?
Because a Big12CG OSU-Neb rerun might not be that helpful to the Huskers. I don't see a 1-loss UO team ranked ahead of a 1-loss LSU in the human polls and they certainly would not be there in the computers. BSU . . . who knows. They don't deserve to be there over ANY 1-loss major. Based on their pathetic scheduling, it would be a horrible precedent. Nonetheless, perhaps they'll ride their undefeated result over highschool quality opponents in to the BCSMNC Game.

Yeah, but nobody's asking if LSU should; we're asking if they will/might.

The Big 12 is doing well in the computers and the voters would much rather have a Nebraska team that won their conference than an LSU team that didn't win their division.

Oregon would be crappy in the computers but enough voters would vote them to give Boise extra cushion.
