While it does not mean McEvoy will be more dangerous than Manziel, preparations are different for a mobile quarterback in a pro-style offense in comparison to a spread attack. Any coach will tell you that.

No coach wants to risk that. LSU will not do this unless they have to. Too risky that a CB can trip, miss a tackle, deflect a ball to the (now) undefended receiver. LSU will play it conservatively, and try to stop Wisky with their base seven. They'll add a cat and mouse safety. If Wisky is driving consistently, they'll bring that safety into the box most of the time. Only if that doesn't work will LSU gamble man to man with no safeties on most downs.
If we have to, though, I like our chances. That's why I'm so optimistic about this game. I think it's going to look a lot like some of those 2011 games when the other team's offense couldn't get anything going consistently, and their defense eventually broke. LSU 31 - Wisky 17. But it'll be worse than that with four minutes left.
