re: Just a point of clarification on the blockade. The American blockade is in place.

You do realize that India has been a nuclear power since 1974 and currently has an estimated 190 nuclear warheads, right?
Do you realize that those nukes might as well not exist for all the help they provide in this case? India is not going to use nukes on Iran, so in order to do something about this they would have to march an army across Pakistan and attack Iran, or send their navy to the Persian Gulf and attack there. So I think the post to which you responded is correct - India is too weak to do anything about this.

We realized it before the talks began. We did not have a cease fire so that we could get a deal. We had a cease fire to rest and reload. We had a cease fire to talk to many of their people to find out which ones we could turn.
Maybe. We really don’t know.

Supporting and sending soldiers and terrorists to other countries is invading them, pencil dick
That is a definition. And if that is your definition, fine. By your definition, the United States has invaded 40 or 50 countries in my lifetime. That's not my definition, though.
quote:
not just Iran, but the entire “Axis of Resistance,” from Lebanon to Yemen.
So they are admitting that they have invaded sovereign nations.
No. That’s not at all implied by that statement. Supporting resistance fighters/terrorists in other countries is not tantamount to invading them, otherwise the US invaded Honduras, Cuba, Cambodia, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Angola, Syria, Iraq, Iran, and a dozen other countries over the last 50 years.

We own that oil.
Are we issuing contracts to exploration companies to extract the oil?
Elsewhere, SDV has specified that by “own” he means that we got the best of them, similar to the way the term is used in sports, as a taunt.

how are "we" im (sic) full control of venezuela?

hint - you won't
Buddy, we forced Venezuela to send their oil to us. It’s the only thing we want from Venezuela, and it's by far the most valuable thing they have. You should leave this one alone, or you can reduce yourself to arguing that we aren’t in full control because we don’t control the traffic lights.

the 2024 season but yes that season was an epic failure
No indeed. It was a decent year, just not up to LSU standards. It wasn’t an “epic failure”; it was a typical down year.

If you had 9 3-hole hitters in your lineup
Yeah, but that’s not what he said. He said, “potential 3-hole hitters”.

I think you’re approaching the post very literally, whereas it seems to me that poster didn’t necessarily mean it in that strict a sense. I perceive that it was meant more as an idiom. Like when two people are engaged in some sort of competition, one has a clear upper hand and says to the other “I own you, punk.”
I’d buy that…if he says so.
ETA: I see that SDV confirmed that meaning. Fine.

We are partners with Iran and Venezuala in where their oil flows to
So we own them and will protect them
You are way wrong on this one. Who owns the oil is who gets paid for it, and that is Venezuela and Iran. We are exerting some control on to whom those guys can sell it, but that doesn’t make it ours or part ours.

The people ruling Iran are from the regime
I don’t think you’ve been proved wrong, but if the Iranian government gives up their enriched uranium, gives up on their nuclear program and substantially reduces funding for Hamas and Hezbollah, and all of that combined with the number of leaders we have killed, then that is regime change.
It must be hilarious from your perspective.

Where in Western Europe? It would be interesting to get your perspective on Brussels and the EU.

re: Should Jay Johnson bring Maineiri back on as a consultant

I have it from a former CPM player, who got it straight from CPM, that CJJ did not use CPM as a consultant even when he was still on the payroll.

The calls to the CEO is about lowering prices as quickly as they raised them.
CEOs didn’t raise prices; they were raised by you and me and everyone else whose desires make up the demand curve, and by the decrease in supply that occurred due to the war. Now, prices are plummeting because the war threat seems to be dissipating. That’s the way a free market works.

Nope, not literally. Take out that one word and you’d be figuratively correct, though.
