..and you've watched Alabama beat up on a shitty schedule, regardless of how they played. Alabama won't be scoring much early and late, like they have been doing against undermanned teams.

I've seen Bama execute. On a very high level. Something our team doesn't do very well. I know our defense is as good as they come, but the Florida game was our prime example that it takes more than just defense. I pray the rest of our team shows up and executes. Regularly.

I disagree. I've seen this LSU team execute very well at home against its 2 biggest opponents. I haven't seen Alabama execute on the road against a team that finished in the top 25 in the past 2 years, because they haven't played one.

Bottom line is it's all talk until Sat night. It will take our best effort to get a W but there is no doubt we can do it; I hope Alabama helps us with some uncharacteristic turnovers and Mett and our receivers step it up big time. I do believe both of those need to happen for us to win.
16-13 LSU in a defensive slugfest!!

It appears we will agree to disagree then. Almost everyone that knows anything about the game is picking Alabama. Wonder why?

Let's not forget that neither Arkansas nor Missouri had their QBs for the games vs. Alabama. I wonder if they'da looked so awesome if those teams had the most important player on their roster available to play? Remember, it's not always how you play, it's who's missing from who you play.

No shite ... Tyler Wilson is easily worth 53 points.

What does that have to do with anything?

Of course Alabama looks like the better team. But they haven't had to play against a top team on the road in quite some time.
Alabama is .500 in the last 3 years on the road against teams that finished in the top 25. They're travelling to Tiger Stadium where LSU has played it's best football all year, execution and production were much better against Washington and USCe.

Should we be the favorites? No. But we have more than a legitimate shot to knock them off. You beat Alabama with the ground game, and we have a stable of backs and a improved O-line that can do that.

LSU at home and not the favorites? I think we tried to beat Alabama with a ground game already this year. How'd that work out for us? Look, I pray to God that we get this victory. NOTHING would make me happier.

True. But it gives Saban the luxury of getting reserves plenty of reps in a game and time to focus on important opponents.

I don't know how the schedule rankings are determined exactly, but I can't find a schedule ranking that has LSU ranked higher than Bama in SOS. I have no idea how because Bama's schedule thus far doesn't compare to ours, IMO. But it is what it is.

We won when it was successful.

The last 4 teams to beat Alabama have all had at least 37 rushing attempts and no more than 20 passing attempts.

It's not inconceivable to think that LSU has a decent shot at winning this thing.

We could do that, too ... if we'd blow teams like friggin' Towson out by the mid-2nd quarter ...

I swear to all that I am that I love LSU, but some just refuse to face the obvious. If, somehow, LSU does get this victory, I will be the very first one to eat a serving of crow. But I honestly just don't see it happening.
