Really?
Perhaps I'm missing something here. How does my leaving Tiger Stadium with 5 minutes left in a 48-7 blowout affect you? I'm really curious to know.
Well, like I posted before...I feel that it must affect the players (and mainly the recruits) when fans leave early. I could be wrong but no one truly knows. Long story short: < electric atmosphere means < good recruits = not so good LSU teams. THAT does not make me very happy, nor would it make any fan happy. Plus, it looks bad on TV and my eyes are cast upon that broadcast. For the fans that can't go, why not represent well? Keep the tradition of LSU's passionate fan base going. I'll be honest, when fans leave early (blowout or not) they don't seem very passionate...do they?
When I went, I felt I represented well...drunk, loud, & scantily clad!

I can all but promise you that the players (and recruits) couldn't care less if people are streaming out with 5 minutes left in a 48-7 blowout that they themselves are merely running out the clock in.
Now, if people were leaving w/ 5 minutes left in a 21-17 nailbiter, the players might have some sort of beef. But even then, people pay for their tickets and have a right to use them as they see fit. And there's nothing "selfish" about excercising your rights.

Sure there is...well, there can be. Not saying everyone is but if you exercise your rights with no consideration for someone else, that's selfish. You have a right to stand up all game but it's really selfish if the person behind you can't.
As far as recruits, guess I'm wrong. But did you read my response earlier about the 08 LSU/Bama game? People WERE leaving before the game was over and it went into overtime. Like I posted, people are just that way now and I certainly can't change them. I just find it sad that some of our fans are that way.

I stayed 'til the the team was finished singing as the band played tonight. Team was ecstatic.
Fans have been leaving early for years and the recruits keep on coming. As long as LSU consistently puts players in the NFL, the players will come.

Yea...I've thought about that. They do keep coming, Thank God! But it surely can't look good. Either way, I'm jealous you got to stay to hear the song...they never show that on CBS.
