There may come a time when I will give up watching sports since I will never know if my team either won or lost fair and square.

Fixed games have been a problem for a long long time and you have always watched. The most notorious instance was in 1919 in the World Series, over 100 years ago. It’s just part of society and always a possibility. We still love sports. NIL and the transfer portal have supposedly ruined college football, but LSU fans level of excitement in the last two months has only been matched by the 2019 season that Incan recall. People will always watch sports, including you.

Only thing I’m wary of is the sector, but this stock has definitely gotten off its arse as of late. Still an easy buy on the monthly chart.

Starting to breakout.

NOLA is a shithole but it's fun.

This seems to contradict everything you are saying about Ole Miss fans. You complain that they call it a shithole and then have fun. Then you acknowledge it is a shithole, but also fun.

I am by no means an Ole Miss apologist, but making the best of a situation and celebrating a win is not really anything I can fault them for.

They want that bonus check

They want to win, which is great for our future.

I am surprised he did not say LK should be thanking everyone else because he left and Ole Miss is winning without him. That would be a typical RC response. I will never be able to understand RC and what he has become.

The league average is closer to $1 mil.

You are using way old salary numbers. Kelly makes $6 million. It would take 11-12 coordinators making $500k and the remaining all making average you suggest, $1 million, to offset that. Monken and Kafka each made $3 million, so it would take another 10-12 coordinators making $500k to offset those two numbers to get to your $1 million average. No chance two thirds of coordinators in the NFL are only making $500k.

So much of this is Chambliss just as so much of Brady was Burrow.

This is a terrible take. Weiss has been with Ole Miss since 2022 and their offenses have been good regardless of the QB. In 2022, they averaged 496 yards per game and 33 points. In 2023, they averaged 462 yards per game and 35 points. In 2024, they averaged 39 points per game and 526 yards per game. All of this was before Chambliss ever stepped foot on campus. Yeah, it’s all Chambliss.

Ole Miss made a bad choice in making Golding the HC instead of Weiss. Golding did not want it and that’s the only way they could have kept Weiss. This combination has proven how good they can be together the last few weeks with massive distractions. Without Weiss, they won’t be the same. Moving from an offensive team to a defensive head coach is going to be tough.

Kirby blew that one. Shouldn't have gone for it on that 4th down and should've ran it on that 3rd down by the goal.

Both of those are on Bobo. Bobo is the worst OC in the SEC now that LSU has Weiss. Georgia has had to win in spite of Bobo for years. Kirby needs to fire him immediately and they will be much better off.

Who here believes this is the new world order or just an anomaly?

Ole Miss is the SEC’s last hope for not going 0-3 in the last three years for a championship. This is definitely a new world order. Not necessarily Ole Miss and Indiana, but a new world where the SEC is not going to dominate national championships the way it did from 2006-2022.
Do you really think in this environment of portals and NIL that UM is going to ascend?

Uh, they have so far. You think their donors are just going to stop giving now that LK left? That’s absurd. This will invigorate them, if anything. They don’t have to have the most money, hurt a willingness to spend as much as they can afford. Texas and Texas A&M have much more money and have not thrived anymore than Ole Miss.

We are going to be great with Kiffin, but dismissing Ole Miss, as much as I hate to admit it, is a childish and comically bad take.

Dad should be proactive and sue them for battery first. He will never be able to collect on a judgment, but plaintiff attorneys are less likely to want to take the case if they are also having to defend.

Originally the WPSO wanted to rule it a suicide. The family knew that was bullshite. (Sounds like Nanette Krentel's case).

Shotgun to the chest would be an unusual way to commit suicide.

Officials should not have let this happen.

Why? You should be expected to know the rules. If the other team defers to make their decision til the second half then you better choose the ball.Otherwise, you are going to give them the ball twice. It is a simple rule that everyone should know. Like don’t hold or don’t jump offsides.
“Look at me, all right, what I'm wearing. I mean, I'm playing for Rio Grande Short-Haul Trucking, Briggs and Brown Sanitation, First State Bank of Salome, Woody's Smokehouse... You think a... you think a guy like me bothers to worry about the percentages?”
His career would have been better if he had negotiated less money and demanded the money saved be spent on quality offensive lineman.Sad that this is the second great QB that is going to be less than he could have been because the franchise won’t protect him. Andrew Luck should still be playing.
The SEC has become watered down. Vandy, Ole Miss and A&M, perennial bottom dewellers all lost two games or less. The expansion and SEC being top heavy means many SEC schedules are ripe for 10-2 or 11-1 seasons.

Bama and Oklahoma are both bad teams right now. The winner will get exposed (in Bama’s case — again) by Indiana. But if Notre Dame cannot easily make a 10 team playoff they have nobody to blame but themselves.
I am glad he is not coaching. It would not benefit LSU in any way for him to be coaching Ole Miss in the playoffs.

Ole Miss needs to understand its place. James Madison does. Tulane does.

When he leaves us to go to Bama do we need to learn our place by letting him coach in the playoffs. We are to Bama what Ole Miss is to us. You can say they should accept their place, but we sure don’t like accepting our place v. Bama (13-2 since the Game of the Century).

I am not sure why LSU would ever let Kiffin coach. We would want him to go help a conference team in the playoffs instead of beginning to work on recruiting and next year’s team. That would make zero sense.
A lot of those coaches are in the same conference as their new schooll? I don’t blame Ole Miss for not letting Lane coach. If he leaves us to go to another school, e.g., Bama, we would not want him to coach our team in the playoffs.
