Great coaches don't use injuries as an excuse every time they get in front of a microphone. Great coaches preach "next man up". Great coaches make sure the backups are prepared to take over in case the worst happens. This team looks absolutely lost on the mound, absolutely lost at the plate and absolutely lost in the field. They look a bunch of high school kids who haven't been taught how to play at the college level. Swinging at first pitches no matter where the ball is, then getting scared on the second pitch and watching it go right down the plate. Usually there's at least 2-3 players on the team that are experienced and can show the new kids the correct approach at the plate, I don't see any of that this year. They are all just lost.
