If people are willing to pay this it is a good thing.

My guess is that a lot of people simply don't care enough about basketball to pay it. It could end up putting the Athletic department in a tough spot. This could backfire.

I agree, but can you imagine going to watch games this past season and getting a higher bill in the mail. Most likely I would toss the renewal form in the garbage. Its like they're trying to drive fans away.

A number of you reflected my points. I lost my job in January due to layoffs. 50+ old professionals don't seem to be popular when it comes to job hunting. So I am still unemployed. What little money I have coming in has to be be spent on necessities. I have gone from having a lucrative job to having nothing. Bottom line, I will probably have to let mine go as well.

I would think a 25-year season ticket holder would be ecstatic about an increased investment in the basketball program.

Not following this logic. The only investment I've seen so far is the new practice facility which is going to be awesome. I've seen no commitment to getting people in the seats, no half time shows, boring home schedule.

What do you find good about this proposal?

There's still enough people that would buy up the $750 & $500 tradition funds seats to sell those out.

Even if the rest of the arena is empty, LSU may still make more money.
