and the game is at Oregon state! Pressure will be on Oregon ... if that game is close in the 4th quarter, who knows what can happen.
Nonetheless, I want Arizona to go ahead and take down Oregon this week, Auburn to lose to Bama, LSU to beat Arky, and LSU could be sitting very pretty and us all becoming huge GameCock fans next week. And let the national media begin their annual scrutiny of Boise's schedule when push comes to shove and everyone's finally having to put their money where their mouth is in terms of putting Boise in the BCSCG.

Stranger things have happened, but hey, Les is our man. He definitely wants for the positive gris gris!

but I'm still holding out the 1-in-a-million chance LSU has of playing in the BCSCG.
In case no one has already done this in this thread, let me reiterate: Since 2003 when Oklahoma got in over USC, teams that do not win their Conference Championships do not get into the BCSNCG. LSU will not win the SEC. LSU will not get into the National Championship Game.

You're right, but every year is a different set of circumstances. If everything I posted in the OP happens, LSU or Wisconsin will be in the BCSCG, so your point is moot.

Either LSU or Wisconsin plays TCU for the BCS Championship!
Then what you should have said is "Wisconsin plays TCU for the National Championship."

Wisconsin can't "hop" LSU in the human polls. Wiscy is already ahead of LSU in the human polls. The only way voters will be able to push Wisconisn in over LSU is to drop LSU further than they deserve, and that won't happen. In the past, we've seen voters move a team they want in the game up, but we hardly ever see teams get voted "down." And this case is different anyway, as Wisconsin is already above LSU in the human polls to begin with, yet still behind LSU in the BCS.
While I said Wisconsin or LSU vs TCU, LSU is the most likely choice given the circumstances I laid out and the current polls. The only reason I even throw Wicsonsin in there is b/c it is certainly not impossible per se that the voters decide to drop LSU to 5/6/7 to push Wisconsin into the game. It it likely? Of course not. Is it possible? Yes.
Would be huge public and media backlash to move the highest rated team from the strongest conference in the country down after an 11-1 season.

Wisconsin into the game
Unfortunately, if it comes down to the Badgers and LSU, i think it will come down who will make the most money for the bowl game. Money will speak the loudest. Can LSU produce more money than Wisconsin, that should be the debate.
Personally, after living in the midwest for 5 years, I know for a fact there are a lot of retirees in Arizona that would love to see Wisconsin. Just saying.

While you're at it, go ahead and put 2 more scenarios into your equation:
1. Northwestern beats Wisconsin (very unlikely, I know).
2. A big break comes in the Cam Newton saga rendering Newton ineligible this season, and a huge cluster frick ensues.

If this was truly the case, Boise and TCU wouldn't even be in the discussion about playing in the BCSNCG like they are now.

Don't know about Boise. Maybe they sell lots of potatoes to Mcdonalds and have money coming out their arse!

What's that have to do with football? Money for is made on TV ratings, and TCU would bring less ratings than any of the other schools mentioned outside of Boise.

ESPN has been hyping these two schools very much. I think people would watch just to see the train wreck. Would probably be only for this year though.

While those two things would certainly help LSU's BCSCG cause, I wanted to keep it at simple as possible... meanding, "if xyz happens, LSU has a good shot at making the BCSCG"
Obviously, If newton were to be rules ineligible And/or Wicy loses to Northwestern, it certainly would be good things for LSU, neither of those is actually necessary for LSU to make the title game.

If it happens great, but if it doesn't I won't be upset. LSU had a chance to control it's destiny. We still can have a good finish without the BCSNC.

I totally agree, but as an LSU fan, I'm still holding out hope that we can be the last team standing yet again...somehow, someway.

well BCSCG isn't about money per se ... it comes down to who finishes 1/2 in the final BCS standings.

After the BCS show, I'm growing less and less concerned with Wisconsin.
A nice win over Arky, and of course all of the other things I mentioned in the OP, and LSU goes to the BCSCG IMO.
