If you take away the fake punt, a few long pass plays, and some other plays, our defense played pretty well...
you left out what he said after that..."our LBs had their best tackling game"

I think our team understands the big picture. I think they have been around here long enough to know that one game does not a season make, but I think there is a sense of urgency with preparing this week and winning this week. That's the focus I want.

Here are a few I collected last year
2007 Season
Quoted after the 2007 LSU vs. Auburn game (Shreveport Times)
"I mean honest to God," Miles said. "You don't think before the play you don't enjoy the moment? No, I'm serious. I'm not sitting there saying that he (Flynn) is, you know, eating up the position. What I'm saying is, 'I'm prepared to take this snap to make one helluva play. This is going to be one exciting play.' Are you (expletive deleted) me? Do I want that time to elapse just without feel? I don't think so."
Again quoted after the 2007 LSU vs. Auburn game (Shreveport Times) and the game before LSU committed numerous penalties against Alabama
"I'm not going to put up with illegal procedures and time off the clock and timeouts used inappropriately," Miles said. "And so we have work to do. It's not that that was a perfect game in any way. It was a sloppy game played very competitively, and the open week hits us at the right time. We'll regroup."
Quoted after the 2007 Alabama game (Monroe News Star)
"I promise you this, that'll never happen again," Miles said. "I enjoy coaching that team, but I don't know if they'll enjoy me that much Monday." Miles said he appreciated the game ball the team presented to him for beating former LSU coach Nick Saban."But I told them that will be the last gift they give me for quite some time," he said. "We don't have to play that poorly against a quality opponent. We don't have to extend their opportunities."
Quoted before the 2007 LSU-Arkansas game (Youtube video – now famous quote)
“I’m playing football for LSU. I’m preparing for Ar-Kansas”
Quoted after losing the Arkansas game in 2007 (The Daily Advertiser, Lafayette, LA)
“I'm right where I want to be”.
Here is my favorite for 2008.
After the LSU Ole Miss Game
"I think if you look at the defense and how they played and you remove a fake punt, a couple of long passes and their first drive — a mistake versus cover-2 (that allowed a 34-yard touchdown pass) — the defense played pretty well," Miles said to a puzzled group of reporters.

we certainly look forward to making those changes and getting our problems fixed.
I believe he said something to this nature in every presser since week 2.

The worst was when he was talking trash on Bama before the season. Only gave Bama more motivation. What an example that set for his team. Then people wonder why Jean Francois made the stupid quote before Florida game when he knew he wasn't even playing.

Exactly. I would respect the guy more if he actually gave us some answers and respect.
