Existence of a massive welfare state is a nonstarter for open borders philosophy.

It is in the Libertarian Party's doctrine they believe in open borders and no state welfare. Which in theory should work.

However today, they harp more on the open borders than eliminating welfare.
I'll admit I'm a bit ignorant about how the portal works-recruiting-player contact-agents-etc.

Can someone explain how the coaching staff knows who is going into the portal before they announce? Is it an agent or representative that makes contact with an LSU coach that a player they represent will be declaring and would like to visit LSU?

And how many of those stayed current on keeping their capacity.

Best guess Motiva Port Arthur and Exxon Baytown as they've each had major expansions in the last 15 years. Maybe Marathon Garyville after GME.

Venezuelan crude is EXACTLY what US refineries are deigned for.

That's not a true statement. Many older refineries are set up for sweet crude from the Gulf or WTI.

Refineries that have had upgrades and expansions are set up to run sour crudes, but unlike sweet crudes, sour can vary wildly and have operational impacts on processing units depending on the amount of BS&W ,asphaltenes, light ends, etc. Sour crude from Venezuela, Mayan crude, Russian crudes are much, much lower grade crudes than Arab medium (the gold standard of sour crudes) and often require blending or slipstreaming. I would bet only a handful of refineries are set up to adequately process 100% straight Venezuelan crude with no fouling issues long term.

Well that's difficult. The rational option was to avoid an overly aggressive policy with ICE that increased the risk of an incident like what we saw in MN from happening.

This is a lawyerspeak, bullshite, cop out. Provide a clear tangible example of rationality that BOTH sides would adhere to.

With the money they have there, I'd hate to see that paired with a championship this year.

They're in the ship with a coach and staff they like. Do you think they have to win it all for the boosters to give them more money?

Ask any non-politically biased physician and he will tell you that it’s absolutely useless for the treatment of COVID or cancer. Any positive effects from it are purely placebo and there is a mountain of medical literature to back that up.

These same physicians also said the Covid Vax is safe and effective, would prevent you from getting and spreading Covid

I bet they also prescribe GLP-1s to fat asses without once demanding they eat better and exercise first

The white coat proper physicians and scholarly experts have been so wrong with regards to overall health, it's astounding.

But, when it comes to treatment, why can't we be a live and let live society? I don't think the Covid vaccines work, I've seen enough friends and family that got one still get Covid, but I believe that's a personal choice for the individual. I also believe if people want Ivermectin, regardless of who thinks it does what, they should be able to get it as it is harmless when taken properly.
