The ball was hit in line of where he was standing

Circling the ball in this sense is 1-2 steps to the right where he's able to field the ball on his glove side and make a much stronger throw

The ball wasn't hit hard but it was hard enough not to barehand , he had plenty of time to circle the ball

Yeah we all know Bergman is this huge show off that makes the hard play for no reason.

He's not a show off but he lacks innings at 3B.

Go do this for my Ricky.

I want you to make a screen shot of where he fields the ball. You'll see that he is even with the bag. The ball wasn't hit all that slowly

2ndly I want you to take a screen shot of the ball going into the glove and I want you to notice where Dozier is. The ball beats him by a full step which is a ton. Now consider how it wasn't close and the loopy throw Bregman made to first and you are gonna sit here and tell me he had to barehand that ball lol at your dumb arse

Nice play but that ball was hit hard enough not to barehand

so what ? If he can reduce the chance of the hitter reaching by alleviating the transfer, it's the right play to make.

Because it's a risky play to try and barehand a ball hit with that speed. There is a much higher risk of booting it then there is that runner being safe with is about 0% and a seasoned 3B knows that. It's not an insult, the guy does not have many games at 3B under his belt.

Played plenty and watching ain't doing. He's a pro making a play the way a pro 3rd baseman should, much less a good college 3rd baseman
Also, since I am sure you were watching, did you notice how deep he was playing? He made the play the way he is supposed to

He made what is a routine play for a MLB 3B look difficult by barehanding. I never said he didn't make the play. But you are exactly right he made the play MLB 3B's make 9x out of 10

He didn't beat the runner by a full step and he fielded the ball at the edge of the grass.

But hey im sure your opinion outweighs video evidence.

Because the 1st baseman doesnt have the ball yet and the runner is in his last stride to touch the base. Maybe we are arguing semantics.
He isnt taking another step after the 1st video.

He's on the field. You're on the couch - or maybe the floor. he knows how best. You don't.
