No he doesn't, he has talked up some guys big but not "Everyone" by any shape of the imagination.
Lol he was hyping Cooper & Hyatt this preseason for sure.
I believe he called aundre Hyatt a “big time shot maker”. Dude, it took him until late December to hit a 3 lol

He said last week that Hyatt was maybe the soundest player on the team. Said Hyatt makes few mistakes in fundamentals.
Who am I to argue with Coach Wade.

Again I don’t have issue with it. He’s trying to sell the program, I get it.
And I’m all for having “program players”. Hyatt will prob be decent down the line but as I said, Wade builds theses guys up and they never meet expectations that season. He’s done it 2 years in a row in the preseason. Just an observation

Merely talking about a player is not "hyping them up". He was hardly "hyping up" Cooper at all this offseason. He certainly called Hyatt a "sharpshooter" and I disagree myself with him there but Hyatt's 3 point shooting has picked up massively since his 0 f'er start.
In the game he made his first 3 when he went 1 for 3 there, since then he's 9 of 24 for 37.5% and has seen an increase in play as the season has gone along. So he's improving.
But again, he never "Hyped up" Cooper. Or Thomas for that matter who has already left. So your "Everyone" comment is a bit of hyperbole.

Bishop is also kind of a shoot first PG. and that is not what we need now.
With respect to this team winning the national championship
We do not have enough size or depth. Nor do we shoot threes well enough to win it all.
LSU is much better than we were in November. Could be a sweet sixteen team.. should be.
SEC is pretty weak this year.

He over sold the shooting of the whole damn team man
Go back & read it. MAys was going to shoot 40%, Days was knock down. Emmitt Williams was stretching out

“Talks guys up” is definitely the better way to phrase it.
That said, there’s some validity to what LE said if you remove the semantics and the part about selling tickets.
IMO, it’s more about giving guys some recognition who likely won’t see court time in games, at least for a year or two. 16-2, SEC Champions should be more than enough to sell tickets.

Hyatt was shooting lights out in the early season practices I saw - perhaps that’s where the enthusiasm originated? But practice isn’t games.
He’s a very good player all round. Excellent on defense and smart with it. He follows Coach’s plays and instructions and doesn’t seem to have the mental lapses some of the others have.
Don’t forget he was injured for quite a while - not sure if that impacts anything?.
