Nay. Davie's gay for our team and it creeps me out, and Jones is always trying to do his baby Stu Scott impression.

they did a good job although Davie can get a little annoying sometimes b/c he just talks so much

I prefer them to the cbs crew and the herbstreet crew.

Jones can handle a play by play. Davey is oatmeal, man.

Yea. I like Bob Davie. I can handle Mark Jones only because he's better than listening to Verne Lundquist and Brent Musberger.

I wish Ron Franklin would get out of ESPN's doghouse and let him team up with Bob Davie.

I think they make a good team. Davie knows a lot about the game and you can tell by what he says. He was dead on about the offense and the trouble Crowton has calling plays because of all the weapons on the team. He's probably my 2nd favorite for ESPN right now, Todd Blackledge is the best in my opinion also Jesse Palmer is getting a lot better and is the 3rd best in my opinion. I think Rece Davis is the best play-by-play guy.

Davie was nothing but complimentary about LSU and its chances to make BIG noise in this college season.

LSU's defense is just an improving monster and it appears we are also doing something else no one has really mentioned - staying very healthy.

The offense - may not be piling on the yards but they are not turning the ball over. Look out Bama - Multiples of 3 are not going to cut it.

Mark Jones refers to Lafell as JoJo like they are homies. The national audience who follows LSU has no idea JoJo is a nickname and he never explained it.

They were both much better in this 1 as opposed to the washington game, in that game he called PP Patterson at least 5 times, but it was the 1st game of the season, which is no excuse for not studying up for the game

Whether or not Davie says nice things about LSU has NOTHING to do with his abilities as a color analyst. He's just not that good.

Jones seems to spend way too much time looking for opportunities to feed softballs to Davie, so Davie can make some cute comment, pun or other inanity.

Bring back Ron Franklin.

I like Davie. He’s not great, but he’s not bad. He’s on ESPN2 for a reason, but he doesn’t make me want to throw things at the television, which may seem like a low bar to clear, but few color guys seem to be able to clear it.

But I absolutely detest Jones. He’s like Steve Urkel crossed with Stuart Scott. Listening to him makes me want to take hostages. He’s not the worst broadcaster on television because Tim McCarver and Joe Morgan are still employed, but he’s on the list.

No wonder Davie isn't coaching anymore, he didn't know where Destrehan was, and he suppposedly lived 15 minutes away

Davie's voice and way of speaking rivals Bill Curry. I think he is horrible. I liked the way after our second TD he said how explosive our offense was when the first drive, AU kept making penalties to sustain the drive and the second one started at their 16 yard line.

And Davie talks like he is paid by the word, "This LSU offensive football team is explosive." How many times did he say football team the other night?

Verne is having a tought time this year. Helost a lot off his fastball in the off-season. The intro to Georgia/LSU game he just lost complete awareness of what he was saying - awkward TV.

if these guys are so good how did they not even question the obvious helmet to helmet hit on Jefferson that knocked him out of the game? Because the refs didn't call it, they didn't even question it. I bet you a million bucks if the refs would have called it a penalty, they would have been all over it saying what a disgusting hit it was and that it doesn't belong in the game. They don't make observations or provide insight.

Like or Hate Danielson, he does look beyond the obvious and though he poins out things about LSU that we don't want to hear, he actually provides insight and analysis and is not afraid to go against the PC thing to say--even criticizing the refs.
