I am far from "numb" to it. I am pissed off more and more every day that justice isn't served to those who abuse others because of their position in government. It is way past time for the scales of justice to tilt in favor of the people for the first time in decades.
Make no mistake. This has been going on for decades, hence the reason Ike gave us fair warning to beware the military-industrial complex. He was spot on, and the fruit of that bad tree in the 1950s has grown into a vine that covers every institution at the federal, state and local levels.
Start with the little self-important bureaucrats and get them to start singing and producing evidence against the larger fish in the swamp. I doubt any of them want to pay hefty fines or face jail time if all they have to do is turn on those above them.

Banned? No, but there should be very limited criteria for absentee ballots/early voting - such as military service, working abroad, physical inability to get to a polling place, etc.
Also, every vote should be verified by ID and signature match to ensure that ONLY eligible voters vote.

The borders are not controlled by the states. They are FEDERALLY controlled by U. S. Customs and Border Patrol.
The governor has NO SAY in how the borders are secured. Just ask Governor Abbott of Texas how his attempts to SECURE the border worked out during Biden's reign of error.

Hell, we've had two KNOWN Chinese spies working for/sleeping with members of Congress - including one who was on the House intelligence committee.
I don't care who goes down. If he/she is dirty, then expel and prosecute.
James Madison was oh so right when he opined that the system of government the Founders created requires a society of high morals and is wholly unsuited for anything less.
If the Founders could see what inhabits the halls of Congress, they'd have pitchforks, tar and feathers at the ready.
