LSU was ahead in the game and then Bobby throws the phone and stumps on the court and the refs after that point things changed in the game.
Bobby should have been kicked out of the game, and got a tech. But he got nothing.
Watch the game, it is a total joke the last 2-3 minutes because Bobby was looked at as a god in the NCAA.
Spot frickin' on tigger1. I was there. It was a travesty. Nearly the same thing happened again in '92.(Shaq's last game in the 2nd round of the dance.)

Actually Bob Knight is a class act off the basketball court. Look at his graduation rates and monetary donations to the Texas Tech library as well as other institutions. He was a hothead and belligerent as a coach, but won.

Maybe the Indiana loss could as easily be explained by any of the 50 or 60 moving screens Indiana set for Alford that weren't called, or any number of touch falls called against Oliver Brown or Benard Woodside when they tried to fight through those moving screens. Said it before will say it again, the 87 Indiana game was the biggest screw job ever to an LSU team.
I read this and I thought I wrote it. I have said the same thing for years. It pisses me off when a LSU fan brings up the Knight quote like it's some badge of honor. I talked to Woodside a few years ago about that game and told him it was the greatest defensive performance I could ever remember by a LSU player. He kicked Alford's arse up and down the court until the refs took care of the problem. This game was the biggest screw job to LSU as there ever was in the last 30 years.
For you young guys, this game was the LSU - Auburn 2006 football game.
Knight should have been ejected around the 10 minute mark of the 1st half. I assure you if it was Dale or just about anyone else they would have been history.

Friend of mine who played under Dale said that Ethan Martin was the best PG LSU's ever had.

I remember watching that game and thinking that the refs were scared into submisssion by Knight.
It was pathetic.
It was pathetic.
