You guys are pussies and quitters!
if les has to prove his point in B'ham in 2014 he'll do it!
He just ran out of eligibility with JJ, that's all...
He'll prove it with Bolden!
(so, how may years will Bolden have?)

He will have 3 to play 2 But i think he wont be redshirted but this is if he comes in under sanctions if he comes in as regular transfer then he will only be eligible to play one year

I really need to brush up on my eligibilty rules. I thought if the school granted their release they were eligible immediately

This. He was granted a release so he wouldn't have to sit out a year, but if this thread is true than we would have to count him against our 85 limit

Then u would rather them come in as a starter that hasnt played a down

Even if they're behind Mett and potentially Bolden that doesn't mean they won't play a down. Plus if Jennings or Rettig is better in two years than one of them could start.

We aren't at 85 though so we are clear there as well.

That is more than our two back ups can say.
Well they gotta start sometime

Rivers and Randall(the two backups he's referring to) may never start for LSU.

The 3rd string QB can play without ever starting

A release only means they can receive a scholarship from the new school immediately. Immediate eligibility has to be granted by the NCAA, it is the exception...not the rule.

ETA: But there is no way the NCAA will require him to sit out.

Why do we want this guy? I have higher confidence in our current roster than a lackluster Big Ten QB.

Seems to me we must have originally said no thanks but now figure we can get the NCAA to provide exception.

Some on this board are stressing way too much over this kid.

If the coaches think we need him, so be it. If they don't, so be it. There's no reason IMO for people to be bickering about a guy that will likely never play a snap at LSU either way. Let the coaches handle it...They know what they're doing, and they know what we need better than anyone.

Some of our fans can get worked up over very trivial things sometimes.
