I think it’s probably time to CAN his arse. Our lines have been shite with him.

Pretty sure this is at least his 5th season. I know that Orgeron hired him and believe he was one of [or the only] Assistant Coach retained by Kelly. Seems he also coached the team in the bowl game that year.

So OL was great last week against an elite DL at Clemson

I don’t think that.

Do you think that?

I keep seeing reference to Davis as a great recruiter and i seem to recall he had some really good recruits 4 years ago or so. I was under the impression we had not recruited at an elite level over the last three years or so, and that is why we had to go shopping in the portal last year.
Getting Thomas and Curne this year seems promising, but its too early to say with them

But he was the best position coach ever a few months ago. Because people knew him!

Yes. Embarrassing to not be able to run the ball unless its a gimmick.

Let's unpack that a bit. Is it a gimmick because you're getting your best weapons the ball that aren't running back?

I think our woes on running the ball the past few years, is that we're not as talented at RB. The O Line probably does need to bear some of that responsibility, but we don't have the dudes. I think if we had a dude, we would see different results.

I love what Caden and the group can do...but Caden is not physically close to what we've seen at our peak at the position.

I support him because he has everything you want in a coach but this is job that demands results.

What would that be? Because it sure isn’t results on the field.

We can't line up and run the ball. Sloan has to use multiple ways to get an extension of the run game.

That's all I mean.

To your point Cap'n, maybe its the philosophy of what we're trying to do then. It's easy to want more from the O Line. But we can't say the O Line is trash, when they just put the 4 eligible into the league.

I'm sure the answer is a multitude of things. O Line gotta do better though.

Agreed! Not freaking out yet but just hate not seeing the line get the push off the ball to spring open Caden. He only needs a sliver to take it 15-20.
