Being a quarterback requires more than just being able to throw far and run fast. You can get away with being a dumbass quarterback in high school and make it on athletic ability but once you get the college you have to have it between the ears if you don't you get exposed.
I have a hard time believing every QB other than Mett in the last 10 years doesn't have it between the ears. Hell, even our most prolific QBs - Mett and Jamarcus - were lazy as hell. LSU's QB issues are a dynamic, multi-faceted problem. I don't know if you can pin it down to any singular issue.

Mett wasn't too bright either. Relied on his arm and great wideouts. We just haven't had a QB Coach worth a damn since Jimbo. The last QB who could actually make calls and read the field consistently was Flynn.

Really think it hurt Harris to not come to UNC in the Spring. I think that may cost him his position pretty early in the year.

That overthrow in the end zone was an accurate throw, just a poor decision to float it.
Wait, a terribly overthrown ball is now an "accurate throw"?
In what world?

Uh no, Fedora said he didn't like the last interception in field goal range. And coaches usually don't trash their own QBs on national TV mhalftime interviews.

I don't understand why it's never Brandon's fault. Now if he had been there in the Spring he would be better. He is just NOT accurate. You can't make him accurate, you either are or you are not.

I know people don't want to hear it, but Jordan Jefferson in 2009 was every bit as good as Flynn in 2007. 2010 and 2011 really soured everyone on Jefferson, so I get it, but JJ completed 62% of his passes, had 17 TDs to 7 INTs, and had a higher yard per attempt than Flynn. The only difference is we simply didn't throw the ball as much with JJ.

They asked him what he thought about his two QBs, and he said he thought both were playing well, but he didn't like the last INT.
That is basically the same thing Miles would say, just with a few more goofy words.

The WR stopped running. Did you see the play in the entirety?
Some of you simply cannot discuss QBs objectively. Harris hasn't been good today, at all, but that "overthrow" was a TD if the WR continues his route.

Jordon Jefferson just compared to Matt Flynn. That's enough for me. The delusion has set in. I'm out.

JJ has 2 seasons with a qb rating better than Flynn in 2007.

His receivers haven't helped him out since he got his high school diploma. Look he'll get a free education, but the next playbook this kid needs to learn is the one from Enterprise Rent a Car

you clearly don't remember 2007 very well.

Like I said, many of you cannot be objective. I'm no JJ fan, but Flynn has been romanticized due to winning the NC. That is perfectly understandable, but if you look at his individual contributions, he was no better than JJ in 2009. That's a fact.

It wasn't overthrown. The dumbass receiver stopped running and turned around and threw his arms in the air like a little girl.
If he'd ran the route to the end line it'd been an easy touchdown and a perfect throw.

Why don't you check the MSB, where objective observers thought it was a decent throw and the WR quit on the route.
Harris hasn't been accurate today. The INT was awful too. He has looked poor, all in all, but the overthrow in the end zone is a bad example. It's that simple.

It WAS an overthrow. Harris threw off his back foot and the ball floated. Even The TV analyst, Dave Archer, who was an NFL QB, said it was a bad throw.

I think Harris my be done at UNC as the starter. Getting his arse kicked by the freshman QB.
