I’m sure these guys have had multiple deals in place with other teams before they committed to LSU. There are too many eyes on our program for them to stay here or stay committed.
It really makes a lot of sense as to why there is a mass exodus now….even with the sanctions looming. Their previously agreed upon deals they had while here or would have here can’t be completed now, so they will go somewhere else that hasn’t been caught paying players yet.

F em if he goes there, there’s a difference between leaving to go somewhere else and going to join a rival
If I spent a few years working for Coke, can I then not go work for Pepsi, if the opportunity is better for me and my family?
People have to look after their own self-interest. College players have limited eligibility, and then should go where it's best for them. They shouldn't have to cross off potential schools just because they're in the same conference.

Murray is a pretty decent player but not a sure fire starter at a top 10 team unless their backcourt was completely gutted. Playing against the incoming freshman scares me more than playing against Murray. Now if he takes a big step forward in his development watch out

Could be Upon WW’s counsel….WW and Pearl both « slept with dogs », WW is the one with fleas. BP got away with crimes after crimes!!!

But Pearl is 100% clean

This is so Busch league. I wish nothing but the worst for him if he does that.

Yes, he is. Averaged 10ppg as a freshman playing a ton in the SEC, and should be better next year. He plays very good on D. He is a very good player that would be an asset to any program in the country.

And why would you have ill will toward Murray just because he goes to one of LSU's competitors? He should do what's best for him.
What if Murray was your son and the opportunity at Auburn was a great fit for him, both collegiately and for his chance to make it in the NBA? Would you tell him he couldn't go to Auburn, because of your loyalty to his former team?
If you did, you'd be a terrible father.

frick em. These hoes have no loyalty

He was pretty but not great by any means. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be great if he stayed but he isn’t some sure fire all conference level player. I’ll take a ban bet if he ends up at Auburn that he never makes 1st team all conference

frick that. Half these guys don’t even know what it means to have letters across their chest. Just give me a jersey Coach and let’s play bball. No meaning behind college sports any longer
It’s cool when they’re here because they were paid to be here, but now they’re shite players who don’t care about the school?

Murray isn’t my son. My allegiance isn’t too Murray or auburn. It’s to LSU. This isn’t fantasy basketball.

He was on the all conference freshman team this past year, only would expect him to continue to rise. He would flourish at auburn

There was never anything about paying recruits to come to Auburn. It was Chuck getting players paid to leave Auburn.

FWIW the strong arse offer was an offer to one of Smart's high school coaches. The $300K allegation for Reid or Cisse is total bull shite and a lie from one of Arizona's coaches or losing one of those two players to Wade. The only payment from Wade was for a former VCU player's fiancé' which I would argue is not in NCAA's jurisdiction (the player and fiance' were not in college...it's a LE issue).

Point still stands that the situations are very different.
