Wow you really broke it down... Yet another Duck bringing up the Tennessee game and wanting to break it down but clearly shows they have NOT BROKE IT DOWN or they would quit bringing it up... Lets break it down again for yet another uninformed Duck... Oregon/Tennessee Game Total Yards Oregon 447 Tennessee 333 Passing Yds Oregon 221 Tennessee 151 Rushing Yds Oregon 245 Tennessee 182 Turnovers Oregon 1 Tennessee 1 LSU/Tennessee Total Yards LSU 434 Tennessee 217 Passing Yds LSU 215 Tennessee 121 Rushing Yds LSU 219 Tennessee 96 Turnovers LSU 4 Tennessee 0 Ok...lets break it down... Oregon had 13 more total yards than LSU did and gave up 116 more yds to Tennessee than LSU did... Oregon had 6 more passing yards than LSU and gave up 30 more passing yds than LSU did... Oregon had 26 more rushing yards than LSU and gave up 86 more rushing yds than LSU did... So basically LSU was able to put up the same stats offensively as Oregon against Tennessee and held Tennessee to 116 less yds offensively than Oregon all the while GIVING UT 4 EXTRA POSSESSIONS WITH THE TURNOVERS!

I don't think so. We could add the following to tigersofgeaulds list...

1. LSU is used to the heat and humidity of Jerry's world. LSU players have played in this climate their whole life... while UO is getting a taste of it for a couple months by turning up the heat in their practice facility... not quite the same.

2. LSUs strength and conditioning is arguably the best in the country. And certainly more highly thought of than UO. Moffit has won a couple awards. Has UO???

LSU's conditioning, TV timeouts, fake injuries, and ground control game will keep the team from getting tired.

10) LSU is about the worst team Oregon could face in it's first game. We're faster, bigger, stronger, and we'll have the stands on our side. Our staff has always prepared well with extra time available. We have a new OC, so game-planning from last year's film won't help your staff much, if at all.

Yep. The Ducks are in for a beat down.

My question is how can you be so confident about your team winning when Oregon played better in both games against common opponents.

Because the transitive property doesn't work in football.

This is the best argument that a duck has presented and is probably your only hope.

Losing is a very real part of playing a football game. What we want and what we can have is a rare thing in a football game or other aspects of our life for that matter.
So for the Oregon Duck football fans posting on the tiger droppings about how they think that their football team is going to beat the LSU tigers in Cowboy stadium sounds like and reads like a very foolish thing to say.

The quality of your opponent does indeed matter, the Oregon Ducks have been successfully winning football games with their new formula. Oregon Ducks skill of play against pack-10 opponents, and they have been beating Tennessee for the past few years.

LSU was having trouble at QB. Do you really think, that LSU is going to stay weak at QB again this year? Does anyone really think that Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, and etc are going to stay down very long?

So for Oregon to brag about beating LSU and football programs like LSU is a very foolish thing to do. Losing is a part of playing big time college football, get use to it.

how did the first half of the Tenn. game go for Oregon? James had 27 yds up until halftime!!! James said "We didn't make any adjustments in the second half," James said. "It comes down to tempo. Once the tempo gets going, it's hard to stop. Once those guys got tired we kept rolling." GIMMICK GIMMICK GIMMICK. Guys you are talented and have a good offense, but it is only a big threat when the other team isn't conditioned! You caught Tenn. off guard with the speed of your plays not Players. Remember this is the SEC. They just wore down the second half like James said. We have a whole summer to prepare for the TEMPO that probably won't be a concern anyways with our defense in the backfield. Just like Auburn did, but with a way stronger secondary! We do not have Fairley, but the defensive line as a whole will be stronger and the only place of possible weakness would be our extremely quick Linebackers!! We also played Miss. State, West Vagine, Tenn, and then Florida the week after. The SEC conference is extremely hard to play week to week.

You can play it anyway you want. In the end, if LSU can run it and control the clock, they will win. If LSU has to depend on JJ to win it with his arm, they will lose.

Last season, both LSU and Oregon played Tennessee. Oregon started off slowly in the first half, but ended up blowing out Tennessee in the second half. Oregon won 48-13 at Tennessee.

LSU pretty much lost to Tennessee if they don't have more than 11 men on the field. LSU won 16-14 at home.

Particularly when we are talking about last years teams. I would feel pretty silly hanging my hopes based on last years results.

Last year, Ark beat A&M by 7. LSU beat A&M by 17. So, according to your logic, LSU would beat Ark. Oh wait, that didn't happen. A&M beat OU by 14, LSU beat A&M by 17, so I guess LSU would beat OU by 31? Yeah right. Your logic is terrible.

Ok maybe I don't know, but isn't Jerry World a Dome? Doesn't that means game conditions will be a comfortable 72 degrees?

LSU is returning 10 starters on offense and 8 on defense.LSU is the best team in the best conference.Five years in a row this team has won the BCS and will again this year. This is why LSU will win this game.

Yes. Talking about humidity in a dome is retarded. As is talking about being more conditioned than Oregon. Most teams need TV timeouts and faked injuries to keep up with their pace.
