1 Sr, 1 Jr, a RS Sophomore, a Sophomore and a Freshman. Then there is some depth there, I expect the line to be good for years to come.

Good lord not even La’el did it… certainly makes me a little nervous.

There are 2 homerun hitters in the backfield, so while I want them to pass well to every part of the field, being able to gash people on the ground and also reliably pick up 1st downs on 3rd and 2-3 would be amazing as well.

It's so much harder to defend when the line can run and pass block at a high level.

You’d have to think if it weren’t for Chris Faulk he probably would have.

Kelly said in his press conference that the OL will be the unit that will rotate the most. He said there’s not many of them that can play 72 snaps so there will be a lot of in and outs.

Wait what? I honestly don’t think I’ve ever heard of rotating offensive lineman. That’s probably the position more than any other that you don’t rotate guys in and out. You want continuity there to let those guys get comfortable together.

Why aren’t they in shape to play a full game? O-line always play every snap. Why is he saying this like it’s a normal thing to rotate o-line and them not be in shape to play every snap?

I feel bad for Shorts. Dude was a huge transfer get. Came to play his final college season at a big time program. He appeared to be the starter til like a week ago. Now he will spend his final college season on the bench when he probably came to LSU for a better shot at going pro.

I don’t know what his draft status was before, but a 6th year lineman riding the bench ain’t getting drafted.

If he was a standout dominating standout OL, he wouldn’t 2nd string right now and he would be a no question starter. But here we are talking about him not being a starter.

Would rather Wire and Dumervil as the starting tackles, bring Campbell along slowly. Don’t love “baptism by fire” for a left tackle.

yes. Same for Saahdiq Charles who ended up at OT after Ingram replaced him as OG and Malone went down to inury. Faneca too btw, but I can't remember if that was rsFR or trFR but it was at OG nevertheless.

Whit started every game at LT as a freshman, but a redshirt freshman.

Mawae started as a true freshman, at LT, about half the season. But not the opener.

Unless Sid Fournet (RIP) started as a freshman, I don't think there's a correct answer here. Might have been somebody random who did it due to injury sometime that later ended up on the bench when the 1st teamer came back. But that isn't really in the spirit of the question and that makes my head hurt.

So 'never' is apparently the right answer.
