I disagree as well, if he would have shown consistently that he could catch the ball and give 100% on every play, the comment would have been less dumb of him to say.

Byrd has an attitude problem that was very evident during the season.
The NFL is aware of that, and his quotes wont get him a better draft position.

If it wasn't for Byrd We wouldn't have this
Saying that he can't catch and his attitude stunk.
If it wasn't for him LSU loses the Auburn, Florida, Alabama and the Tennessee games and no 2007 BCS title.
I would too be frustrated if I was a senior and my future depended on a terrible QB. In fact the whole tiger nation were frustrated with JL bullshite mistakes. And Bet Half the team was too.
Without Demetrius Byrd LSU would have never made it to the BCS championship game.
So give the guy a fricking break for wanting to have a better senior year. Lets start recognizing that he is right about the QB situation.

Dude's trying to get a paycheck, trying to get attention. While I don't think it is 100% true, really, I hope the guy gets a contract. He can call me out if it helps him get his deal.
