Beck's elbow issue flaring up at the end of summer can probably be directly attributed to averaging 20 pitches per inning this summer.
He pretty much had 6 or 7 days rest every time he threw multiple innings but on June 30th he had a 3 inning, 85 pitch outing. That's borderline criminal for a guy that was primarily used in relief all year.
