Maybe he's tired of trying to call plays with teenage quarterbacks. Kids trying to juggle college, girls, and limited practice time and experience.
He's been a successful OC at multiple stops in the NFL. He's proven to be a great play caller with a mature NFL QB with nothing else to do but learn his system. He's handicapped here (college in general).
I imagine him calling plays/coaching for Jennings/Harris is like a physics professor trying to teach long division to a middle school student.
Maybe he isn't as good at teaching raw QBs but better at tweaking experienced ones, while being able to call every play in the book and not worry if a slant will work. And there is that recruiting thing...
Hope he stays but maybe this just isn't his cup of tea.

Wish he would go
I have been very critical of CC in the past. but I think it would be a bad time for him to go unless we have someone good lined up.
his units lack of production was extremely frustrating. I am very skeptical of his recruiting skills and I think that maybe he's too complicated with coaching recent high school grads.
having said all of that I could be wrong. I can understand how tough it was to get a top qb this year with BH a junior but if he doesn't sign a good one next year it would sadly prove my point. of course then he will be in a new contract. it is pretty difficult to understand why we can't develop a qb but it's pretty damn easy to see that our offense had major difficulty in getting plays in timely and didn't seem to know the play that was called. much confusion and penalties.

What kind of an idiot are you. What kind of response is that to a very simple question . Heard a rumor from someone who should know. Asked a question. Then get a stupid response like this. Seriously.

No matter what you think of Cam, it would be horrible timing to lose him. The last thing we need is a new guy with a new system comming in trying to change everything 7 months before the season.
You really want Harris to have to learn a new playbook? Lol

I think he stays with the Panthers. One bad interview isn't going to make him quit playing pro ball.
