J. Lee has enough physical talent to be a very successful QB in the SEC. He wasn't mentally ready to play full time last year.

Next year could be a totally different story. Miles knows this, even if our clueless RANTards don't.

USC wouldn't have kept playing lee after failing so badly.

that is just stupid. i can just as easily say usc wouldn't need to because their defense would never be as bad as ours was this year.

if their only option was a true freshman that they did not feel knew the playbook then they would have done the same as us.

is LSU not a elite program?

a top tier program?

why did the let themselves get into that situation?

forget all the perrilloux stuff... why weren't ALL THREE QB's made ready by the coaching staff?

Perfect example of geek stupidity.

According to most coaches, it usually takes two years in an SEC system for a QB to be ready to play full time.

Some QBs are like a fine wine, they need to age to reach their full potential.

Why was hatch starting over lee at the start of the season?

Clearly, the coaches thought he was better than lee, and if he had not been hurt at auburn, I believe they would have started him all year.

and you follow it up with this statement.

it makes things really easy to just forget the actual situation.

you can't just forget all the RP stuff. he was supposed to be our starting qb. he fricked up and got kicked off the team. but lets just forget about all that.

Unbelievable rantardation. Just forget the guy that was getting ready to take over for the Sr QB. The one that played us into the BCS game.

Why focus on him, when you have freshmen that need playing time?

Minus the 53 points given to the opposing team.
Um, no. WITH all the points given to the opposing team, they STILL had a season at least as successful as the one Mauck and Randall combined to produce in '02 (8-5 Peach Bowl blowout win vs. 8-5 Cotton Bowl two TD loss).

didn't lee throw 4 INT's in that game?
one of which was a pick 6?
Yes, he did. And, if Mitchell hangs on to that TD bomb that hit him in the hands, we still win that game. Or do you believe the refs would have made us forfeit anyway because Lee threw too many INTs?

Contrary to the claims of some on this board, it is possible to throw multiple INTs -- and even throw pick 6s -- and still win a game. And when that happens, the QB -- like everyone else on the winning team -- played well enough to win.

Had Mitchell caught that TD pass and we had won, it certainly would not have been a good game for Lee. But when the defense plays like it is supposed to play, and the rest of the team plays well, we can win even when the Freshman QB has a bad day. Sadly, 5 different times this year, that did not happen.

well, I have a little bit of a idea.
If your not a coach or a player, you don't. All you have is a report of what someone else claims is an "idea" of how he leads the team.
