Les would probably do pretty good with Drew at QB too. Just saying.

Well, of course.

But you already have a job.

College football is 90% recruiting...I don't care who agrees...if Les is able to finish out this class properly, all will be well in Tigerland...and they had better get a couple of mean SOBs for DT this year...go back and look at who we lost to the NFL last year...it's not rocket science folks...both DTs from last year are starters on NFL rosters...let's see, 1/1=2...it took most of the season to get these guys up to speed...the future should be very good...Go Tigers!

This recruiting class, and the next two, will do more than close the gap, it will ultimately cause Saban to quit. He will not like losing, and Miles is gonna do it.

If we could get Sean Payton then we should go for it. He has done well with the Saints. He would be an excellent recruiter (maybe as good as Saban at recruiting) and good coach. Other than that we are better off with Miles.

Cautionary note to the "Fire Les" crowd
I think people would like to see
a) Chavis and Cam stay as coordinators and know that they are fully in charge.
b) Maybe hire someone who can figure out how to get the play calls in faster... something like a sideline coach.
c) Have Les fortify the recruiting wall around Louisiana and read a book on effective time management. I mean, is no team better at running off the last 2+ minutes of the first half on offense?

Miles must have had a "want" to frick your ole lady. Sounds like she provided the opportunity for a damn strong finish on the back end as a quality opponent.

true. or we could get a guy who can also get us 2 or 3 losses a year. Just like Miles. But maybe better management, performances, preparation and management and it may pay off for more championships in the long run.

So he has better management and performance, and preparation, and still loses 2-3 a year? so does he suck at recruiting?

Also maybe a coach who will not quit on his team (see 1-9) or a coach who will not shite the bed every year for 9 years straight.

Seems like we won one in 2007. That is the opposite of shitting the bed.

NO florida replaced Spurrior because he left, and they had to. They Fired Zook cause he sucked.

OSU had to because The Vest got sanctioned to hell and back.

Who the frick has UGA replaced? What have they won?

If you are gonna replace a national Champion coach you better be in a situation like Texas, or have a coaching situation like Chizik.

shite without Cam newton we would be talking about Tubberville as an example of good coaches you don't fire.

Urban came right back in and has not lost a game in 2 regular season.
Even Saban cannot make that claim.
Hope AU beats AL to give us Jimbo versus Urban for the crystal
AU in the Sugar
Send AL to the Orange
LSU wins out beating Bo in the Outback
Nice ending to the season .....

They replaced John Griffith (10-16-4, .400) with Vince Dooley in 1964.

Could we do better? Hell yes, a lot better. Les is the epitome of 'the just get 'er done' mentality...win ugly, get 10, never excel above the just better than average, coast to victory, pick your phrase. Would it be hard to get someone better? Maybe, it would take a young up and comer to transform LSU into a national power again.

I am happy we are 3rd place in the West. At least we aren't last. As long as we are competitive and keep games close that's good enough for me.

At certain time's? UF made a decent hire in urban. But where are they now? Les ends up being the better hire cus urban quit. Uf is worse off now than when he took over.

OSU? They fired their coach cus they were put in probation. Is want miles gone to if something happened here.

Richts been at uga longer than miles has been here. So not sure what you are talking about with them.

Miles is the best coach lsu has had. It would be stupid to let him go. Especially during this recruiting cycle. Let's not forget the Sec won 7 bcs titles under miles tenure. Sec only won one under saban. Sec is much better now than it was.

We've seen this so many times during the Les Miles era. Just when the program/team looks like it's slipping and sinking then...something like yesterday happens and the world seems right again.

Hate mistakes in games?
I've never been part of the fire Les crew. But I have certainly been angry at some of the bonehead plays. How did you feel about the five false starts, especially the back to back ones when we had lst and goal? Or all the times over the past two years when linemen missed their blocks and Mett got pancaked? Do we need a new Offensive line coach and isn't it Les's fault that he is too loyal even when the assistant's don't do their job?

That's called excellent coaching. The coaches that are just hanging in there cant do this more than once. When adversity hits, u better have coaching and leadership skills or u get eaten alive in the SEC. Handling adversity is under rated.
