CBS has that niche in college football, but that get NFL games, so college isn't as much their priority where ABC that its premeire event of the entire week practically, unless you count MNF. This is what I think may not be true though
.

Great answer.

CBS needs to step it up. They have a contract with the best conference in the US.

If the NFL can have games on multiple networks, don't know why CBS can't do the same with the SEC vs ABC/ESPN.

Because Verne can't stay up past dinner time.

And in case people don't know, the reason CBS has a double header one week every year is because they skip a week to show tennis instead.

If you look at history, this is understandable because CBS used to have another great show in this time slot: Texas Walker Ranger

I don't know why that is. CBS will take the Bama-Florida game in primetime and perhaps one more, but not every week.If they did go primetime every week with SEC football it would create a ratings bonaza.

Seems Fla is CBS darling when it comes to the annual primetime game. I know in 2007 it was us and them then again in 2009. I think it was Bama and Fla in 2010 and now Fla and Bama again. I dont remember who made the prime time game in 2008 or 06 but pretty good chance Fla made at least one of them too.

LSU/ Bama was highest rated game last year. They probably know it will be again this year even if they show it at 10 am.

So they're probably thinking why make it the priumetime game?
