yeah. i'd be willing to bet that if given ample notice a lot of people who buy a parking pass in the area of where they tailgate just to give them rights to drive through the barricade and drop their stuff off. but obviously announcing this 10 days before kickoff shoots that right out the window.

Exactly, I asked who to write the check to for my spot in the lot we are always in, and they're not selling them.

i agree with this, i am not positive, but i would have to think they would use the guard shacks, but if not, in this location i think you are okay, b/c in the past they have blocked it off at infimary DR at the 4 hr mark, which is one block past Tower.

How can they do this? What about all of the areas within the gates that do not require parking passes? There are plenty of places to park near my tailgate that are within this area and the people that do definitely don't get there at 7 am

Can someone post a map with the closed area marked off. So many people are confused as to what is going to be closed or open.

I can't believe they'd release this info 10 days before the first game...people are going to be livid. Because I'm sure there are many people who will not find this out until the first game because not everyone will read this.

According to the parking office, the places you can access will be the same as they've always been. Greek theatre area will be controlled, but Tower Dr. will be accessible.

yes but only if you are there before 7 am or unless you are outside the perimeter

The actual words used were "as far as we've been informed, there are no changes to the parking procedures of the inner campus this year". This was the parking office, so the Athletic office may not have informed them of any changes yet. They should be calling back soon enough.

That sucks, I always find a spot in that small lot next to howe russell around 1030 am. Seriously for 7 pm kick offs you're shutting campus down 12 hours before?

howe russell is on tower drive so there's a chance you might still be able to access your lot. im not really positive which lot you're talking about.

Even if the parking office isn't aware...there will probably be a guard on Dalrymple and no one will be able to get through.

ok, talked with ticket office:
student worker, but better than nothing at this point.
Many folks have called already. Nothing has changed, except that Dalrymple will be closed off completely. If you want to get to Tower, you'll have to access it from Highland.
Of course, I can't see them blocking off Dalrymple before Infirmary Dr, but they've done stranger things in the past.

so if you hit tower at highland will you be able to drive all the way down to dalrymple or will those swinging gate fences at the union be closed?
