Before Kevin Faulk’s #3? That’s absurd.
Really?
I mean its almost as if they are taking them in the order they played.
And well deserved, Alexander the Great.

Met him a few times. First class guy and great RB. Very deserving of any award he receives.

Got to meet Charles earlier this year. Great guy. Also if you did not know he was a running back you would think he was an ex-lineman. Dude is a mountain of a man. Not fat, just huge.

knew him pretty well at LSU, his gf, later wife and my gf were in the same class at law school and studied together and we used to do a lot of stuff together, he was a cool, down to earth dude even back then

quote:Yep. I remember that one well. A friend of mine in the media got me a sideline pass for that game and I watched it from the LSU sidelines. I am in some of the highlight films, especially when the action is on the south end, as I believe one of Alexander's touchdowns was.
Alexander vs ole miss in tiger stadium was a fun game.

I’m on the never retire a number side. Out their name in a ring of honor.
For Heisman, build a statue also.
But don’t quit using numbers.
There are over 100 players on a roster with a lot of people sharing numbers. In college football, retiring numbers is kind of absurd, unless they start offering triple digits. It makes sense in baseball and basketball, but football, not so much.
