It was clear last year our depth wasn't great despite the highly touted starting 5.
I'm just happy Mubenga played well last night and we have a legit center. Hopefully Crune will be ready soon.

Nah, we’ve started G5-level guys here on more than one occasion since then, unfortunately. Cam Wire only lasted a game as a starter at RT in 2022, but he wasn’t any better. Shanahan was more experienced, but just as physically overmatched as a SEC Center. He’s just the worst we’ve seen on the field recently.
Surely he transfers out this offseason. With the guys we’ve brought in over the last three classes, he doesn’t have a path to the field anymore without some massive jump. I don’t see that happening.

Honestly Shannon came to mind with how bad Chester was but after that it’s a pretty long way to the next worst oline man

I did too as well as he played in the bowl game. But his name wasn’t even on the depth chart yesterday. Ory Williams was listed as the backup at LT and 3rd behind Curne at RT. And we all saw that he didn’t come in when Adams went down.

Agreed. Getting mentioned in the same breath as Shanahan and Wire is pretty fricking bad.
Put Moore and Thompson in fricking bubble wrap all season. Hopefully Curne grows up fast.
