Exactly. People here still don't realize you need to run a true spread offense with a really good MOBILE QB at the helm. That's why I hoped we'd go after Briles or Yurcich this off-season. Nope, FSU has Briles and Ohio St got Yurcich. Briles starting QB in D'Eriq King (was more of an athlete coming out of high school, was actually one of, if not the best player in the country? In the 10.5 games he played, he had 2990 pass yards 675 rush yards, and 50 TDs. Yurcich's first year starting QB this year had 3975 pass yards 400 rush yards and 42 TDs.
Trevor Lawrence is a true freshman, and posted 3280 pass yards 30 TDs and 175 rushing with another TD.
These are the type of numbers LSU needs at QB. Hell, even close to that would suffice. We need big time play in big time games, but we don't get that.
