Lower you standards a little lower.

Comparing 2005 to 2017 and saying “ he only lost 1 less game” is fricking retarded.
If you don’t think 1 more loses is a huge difference ask Ohio State this year or Penn State Last year.

We’re fans of the same team. I just apparently want them to win more than you do.

It wasnt aanywhere near an upgrade. Miles ran into a situation where his state stop producing a QB, not even 1 every other yr. He also ran into a slime ball of an AD that needed his own guy in place so he could get use LSu to get a better gig.

People can argue that Miles' offense with no QB and Fournette was predictable, thats fair. Brandon Harris was absolutely stellar at practice and Miles so needed a LA Qb to lead his terrific teams. He also knew Rogers and Narcisse were up and comers finally from his state and could afford to lose them.
Miles finally got 2 good Qb's in place after searching under every rock and coast to coast and had Rogers coming up this yr and had settled in on Etling. But this AD was on a mission, but coachs saw through his slimeness and all of them passed on him.

Cam Cameron was absolutely horrible and could not/would throw the ball to the TE or RB even with a great running game and Big Leonard. That alone is just mind boggling.

But the biggest thing about Cameron, was he was brought to LSu to recruit out of state QB's and develop what ever Miles could scrounge up at the position and he did absolutely nothing in either area.

Im ok with Miles being fired because he stuck with Cam Cameron and Harris when the pressure was the highest to win or else.

I understand why Miles stuck with Brandon Harris and Cam Cameron. When people are just waiting to stick a knife in your back you need loyalty in the locker room, but it doesnt change the fact that you are judged by your decisions.
The perfect storm and BAma's unheard of dominance in the modern day along with the slime ball Aleva ended Miles' time at LSU.

Who knows maybe O can win at a higher level with his own players and find some Qb's after these 2 leave. Losing out on Rogers in Shreveport is not an encouraging but he deserves more time to see what he can do. After the 2109 season, only then will it be kinown whetehr O was an upgrade or not. Hes got some huge shoes to fill handling this pressure cooker of a job and this slime arse Ad. Things are ok between the 2 today because O saved Alleva's arse thus far and was hired by him. But all this could very interesting pretty soon.

Lets just hope O can get it done. Its hard to argue that a change wasnt needed with Miles. The question is whether O was the right pick we'll know in 2 more years.

You do realize Miles had to pull one out of his arse to not lose to Troy at home? Lets not compare the two by their games against troy.

Why not? Is this fricking horseshoes? Miles did not lose to Troy. It was a shitty performance by perhaps Miles's worst team during his tenure at LSU, and he still didn't lose to Troy.

Isn't that all me, you, and everyone else, wanted Miles to do? Can't we all agree that Miles would still be the coach? More sucessful and the fans be happy if Miles would have done this?

You get to be a beloved figure head if you’ve actually accomplished something

You don’t just get to step in day 1 and not actually coach beyond a pep talk here and there.

Oh and how great must his pep talks have been the first half the season.

If you really think about it Les's win loss record could've really looked a lot worse if we would've lost all of them games we barely won or came back to win

This is just a silly stupid thing to say. I could easily retort by saying his won/loss record could have really looked a lot better if we would've won all the games we barely lost or won the games that were lost by giving up last minute/second points that enabled the opposing team to win.

Making Alleva associate HC was probably O's best decision

Anytime you can make your boss an associate it's probably a good move.

just like that elite secondary that will probably never be replaced as reserves diminish in the next couple of NFL drafts.

You do realize LSU has pretty much the same defensive staff that recruited and signed Greedy Williams and Grant Delpit right? Two freshmen starters this seaon. Everyone but Bradley Dale is still on staff. But somehow to you the elite secondary will never be good again under Coach Eaux.

with early signing day coming to a close, how is recruiting doing since losing Les?

13th right now with six more scholarships to give. Why, you hoping for some bad news on that front?

How do you explain the reported controversy between Canada and O?

How exactly does a person explain an unsubstantiated rumor?

Can't imagine him having feuds like that with the associate HC leaked, or it would be his neck.

You can't stop rumors from being started.

quote:

Why are you content with being 9-3 with O and not under Les?

Because besides the MS St game LSU had a chance to win all of their games. There were no malfunctions trying to manage the game or play clocks. After the Auburn game, LSU did not have a close score except for the Bama game. There were over 30 freshmen playing and 12 true freshmen started at times this year including 2 TF on the O-line. I can certainly see why you would be bummed about it.

Lol so now you change what you want from a head coach. This is why arguing with some of you is pointless. Miles can do it because he won a NC 10 years ago lol I've heard it all

Lol the melt on this thread is epic. Guess what cry and kick and scream all you want. Ogeron is the HC and will be for awhile. Find a new team to be a fan of if this one makes you this miserable.

I will say this, people like you have made the LSU that much more enjoyable.

No We we’re willing to accept Les not being fired if he could get out the offenses way

Not everyone gets that deal.

Les has a ring and over 100 wins.

O has dick.

We fired Lea to do BETTER than Les. Have we gotten that?

That is bad defense.

This was all on the offense stinking like a hot pile of dog shite.

It was a TOTAL TEAM loss. LSU should not give up that many points and that much yardage to Troy.

Great so what are we supposed to do when we lose to Troy and have a losing record vs teams over .500?

Sorry you’re more of an O fan than an LSU fan if the first 6 games of this season don’t piss you off.

You missed the point

Which was very clear

You don’t get to just come in and be a figure head and just let coordinators do everything for you. That’s not a selling point for a day 1 coach.

Yes you do. It got LSU a bowl game against Notre Dame with a chance to finish in the top 10.

4 of the first 6 games without Les we broke 4 offensive records. Next year let's revisit this before we say he can't do better.
