You do understand that "muh baseball " loses cash just about every year, right?

And as bad as our basketball is, it still.operates in the black?

Now if you're capable, envision how much more a winning basketball team would profit at LSU, not to mention the prestige it would bring due to the fact that people ACTUALLY WATCH college basketball.

My 12-year-old niece even knows that verge did not hire our basketball coach

I don’t see any NC in any of those years. I also didn’t start school there until 1985 so anything accomplished before has no meaning to me I was there when they had Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Stanley Roberts, best roster ever and they still couldn’t do shite.

First off I believe you’re a fricking liar saying that you were there in 85 because if anything that 85 - 86 and 86-87 seasons were two of the best of any program. They went to the final four with nothing in 86. 86-87. They went to the elite eight. Go look at the teams that they lost to during those runs.
I gave you a hint dumbass with the Michigan State game in 79 with Rudy who had been hurt with that with an ankle injury. He was awesome. The hand injury in 80-81 kept them from beating Indiana in in a final four. I was there for that game. 86 - 87 elite 8 game final Keith Smart hit that jumper at the buzzer to beat LSU in Baton Rouge. Was there for that one too. Getting beat by Kentucky three times in the 85-86 season only to beat them to go to the final four as the lowest seed to reach their at the time.
While there were no championships, there were certain championship caliber teams. 8081 was one of those losing only five games that season. When your star player splits his hand wide open and has to play with the cast, it will impact how you finish.
LSU was the model of consistency and excellence during that stretch - Top 5 program in the country in fact.
UH has never won a title, where do you rank them?

Hey dumb frick. I was working frying fish at Long John Silvers on Essen ln watching the game against Kentucky on a 9 inch portable tv when they got to the final 4 after losing to them 3 times that year. Your inbred uneducated arse can go frick yourself. LSU has never made it to finals. Even when they make the final 4 they lost in the semi final.

"Verge should have never hired the guy."
In fairness, Verge hiring of Skip Bertman should make up for this error.

I agree. Verge really nailed the Bertman hire. He should get a pass on McMahon.

I still don’t get it. What an idiotic statement. What does UH, ULL, etc matter. The subject is LSU.

You also said this dumbass “LSU has never been good at basketball get over it they may have a good team every 10 years. Prove me wrong”. I gave you proof you fricking tool of LSU being one of the premier basketball schools in the country during a 13 year stretch.

It was an example of a program with a rich history and a recent history of being in the finals and never winning it similar to LSU. In fact, they will likely be the 1 seed again this season. My thought was your recency bias could make a connection but there it is - zero knowledge of basketball history. This all started when a moron said LSU has
LSU has a rich history of excellent basketball including one stretch where I presented evidence to you, an idiot, where LSU basketball was highly successful ie a top 5 -10 program consistently.

You said this moron ”I don’t see any NC in any of those years. I also didn’t start school there until 1985 so anything accomplished before has no meaning to me I was there when they had Shaq, Chris Jackson, and Stanley Roberts, best roster ever and they still couldn’t do shite”

I’m done with you because I can’t fix your stupidity and I refuse to end your arse again. Here are your facts that LsU was not “good every 10 years or so.
13 of 15 years; pretty sure second most of any program during that stretch; 5 sweet 16; 4 elite 8’s; 2 final 4’s.
Macklin getting hurt in 78-79 (ankle) and 81 (during the elite 8 game in NOLA - hand) cost the a title IMO.
