Both are irrelevant to what I posted. What happens after the selection doesn’t validate or invalidate anything.
Florida was a good club who deserved to host their regional. Going 0-2 doesn’t change that.

Arkansas, Vandy, Tenn, Florida, Ole Miss, Miss St, S. Carolina.
The committee saw this tough conference and determined LSU was deserving of a spot in the tournament and luck really had nothing to do with it. LSU has a very good team and the fact they are in the top 32 simply proves this.
1 point loss to Tenn
1 point loss to Vandy
1 point loss to Ole Miss and swept series
1 point loss to A&M
1 point loss to Bama
1 point loss to Auburn
Any of these games were a toss up, error here, hit not in the hole and this is baseball.

LSU was on the bubble with UGA and Bama. All 3 had strong resumes but only two were getting bids.
Luck had a ton to do with it.

it's happened 25 times since 1999
13 were #1 seeds
8 were #2 seeds
3 were #3 seeds and there was 1 #4 seed
No 3 seed has done it in 10 years
