Like Bama last year, actual wins matter less than they used to to some people. If the score was close (even though we dominated USCe)the loser can said to be as good, or even better, than the winner. This is the brave new "eyeball test" world of college football.

The real issue is not that he has USC ahead of LSU, if he really thinks they're better but lost because they had to play in tiger stadium then thats fine. I think he's wrong but that's an acceptable argument. No, the real issue I have is that he has USC tied for first with Alabama. There is no way you can have those two teams as 1a and 1b when one of them lost and the other team has dominated everyone they've played

I don't agree with his rankings one bit...but "everyone" that Alabama has played, is in fact, nobody. So at least he could make that argument.

National Media do not generally watch full games. Generally they just see the highlights, if he only saw the highlights he wouldnt have seen the total line of scrimage domination. Besides Cowherd is often at odds with his audience. He strives to be the Howard Stern of the sports media.

Cowherd also said that LSU would skullfrick a team like Notre Dame saying that ND wouldn't get a single first down against us.

None of it matters. The guys doing the BCS show last night already has Bama playing the USC/UF winner in the SECCG.
