What does this mean for people on the Northshore?
I know for sure La Carreta has Dish and they have it. I assumed the same for Fox Sports South, too bad somehow they only have CST and no other extra sports station.

I'm sure LSU thought CST would be a better fit.

Because it's this:
LSU Cox Communications Academic Center for Student-Athletes
not:
LSU Fox Sports Academic Center for Student-Athletes

whatever
that does little to help the thousands upon thousands of us who have moved away and are forced to see how the Big 10, Pac 10, and Big 12 schools are all on one of the 15 Fox Sports networks allowing their fans to catch their favorite teams in action no matter where they live

I get your point now and do concur. I have Dishnetwork with the all sports pack so on any weekend I can watch about 7-10 matchups and rarely are any SEC.

Dude, it's not Cox's fault that a larger network with more coverage didn't put forth a competitive bid (or a bid at all).
You are just bitching because you can't watch the game.

I'm not blaming them
I'm wondering why someone in the front office of the university or the SEC doesnt step up and attempt to expand television coverage instead of marginalize it

you God Damn right I am. I have much better chance of catching an Iowa, UCLA or Stanford game than I do an LSU, Ole Miss or Vandy one

Are you guys sure it won't be on a local broadcast channel?
Jumbo used to be totally syndication, I don't think they gave up the right to sell the regionals to broadcast stations (non-cable).
Anybody know for sure?

why can't directv just ad the damn channel.
because a lot of people get cox just so they can get CST. if cox let directv carry CST, they would be fricking themselves out of subscribers.

They could easily only offer it to subscribers outside of Cox's region.
