It's ridiculous that you are comparing CB's strictly by INT's.

No, it's not. Chris Webber was called that 15 years ago.

So you're saying Mo. Claiborne is bad. I thought he played very good this year for somebody in his first year to play corner

Read the qualifier the guy included: "at this point." Claiborne may be a better corner than Daniels at some point (which is questionable considering TD was an NFL starter), but he's a Freshman and will certainly get better.

During Webster's breakout year, he had a damn good Daniels across the field. Claiborne is good, but I agree with the previous poster.

As for the comments about Pat Pete making the two insane interceptions, Corey Webster had a few that were every bit as fantastic. I remember one to seal a game where he came over the top and tipped the ball to himself like Peterson did. I can't remember the game, but that is one of the greatest INTs in LSU history.

Both are elite all american corners, Webster didnt play corner until his Soph year and became one of the all time great CB's at LSU, that being said PP is the better cover corner and could blanket any WR he wants but just gambles way too much. They have equal ball skills but always thought CWebb was more of a cover 2 corner.

PP7>>>>CWebb

At least Webster wasn't a total hot shot like PP7 and was more of a team player. For all of PP7's athletic ability, I for one will not miss him at LSU. I know 95% of ranters feel otherwise.

Mathieu has been the MVP on defense this year.

in the words of Buddy D, "the squirrels are out today!"

this guy will be really good, but he was not the mvp of our D this year. im thinking more like nevis or kshep... probably kshep

however i am extremely excited about all our young DBs (mathieu, loston, mo, reid, simon.... )

I would take Webster over Peterson. With that said, Peterson has more ability that he just hasn't tapped into yet. From an overall body of work, I'd easily go with Webster over Peterson. A few one the board have said Peterson is overhyped... and I agree with them. I will say that Peterson with some pro coaching will be an elite NFL corner.

Claiborne is vastly underrated and I think he'll have a more productive college career than Patrick Peterson. He's going to be a beast if he already isn't.
